Granderson is just a quick way to refer to Grandy and Hutch simultaneously.
I thought maybe he was a science experiment gone awry when Hutchinson accidentally got too close to Jake as he was submitting his name for the draft.

Dear diary,Man, how crazy would it be if Hutcherson actually gets drafted, and injuries were the only thing that kept him from seeing the floor for us as an AA-level player?
And before any of you freak out and start foaming at the mouth as you type out a reply to this post: it's just a silly hypothetical. Take a deep breath. We're just passing the time here as we wait for further roster developments.
Why would you further fan the fan flames with a crack like that? Oh, right… that’s what the internets are all about, eh?Goode isn’t gonna start
Plus, I’m not a basketball expert (baseball guy), but having a guy like Kofi pretty much turns the other four guys into functional guards. Jake was playing a lot more similarly to Trent as far as basic in-game actions on offense (i.e., moving the ball on the perimeter, shooting threes, trying for an entry pass to Kofi, etc.). It seemed like with Kofi, we more or less nixed the traditional “4” spot, and I think in today’s game a “3” has more in common with a guard.Kofi does make everyone look like a guard. I look at Dain and wonder how he could possibly play center after watching Kofi, then realize that he's just normal college center size.
I like Goode and think he is going to be a mainstay on this team next year. Why would you further fan the fan flames with a crack like that? Oh, right… that’s what the internets are all about, eh?
Insiders, this expected? Done in light of what/who is coming down the transfer pipeline?BBV hits the portal?View attachment 17628
At this point, l agree. Further, I don’t think anyone on staff leaked any information to anyone saying Luke won’t start.I like Goode and think he is going to be a mainstay on this team next year.
Well, I guess that's that then.Goode isn’t gonna start
I think you may be right unless we get that guy from Northwestern, if he has entered the portal.this team is going to be about as inexperienced as far as returning minutes/scoring goes since the 2017-18 Illinois squad. This team will have a talent edge undoubtedly (Black as a r-Jr. could hang of course but the rest of the veterans, which were Finke, grad Transfer Alstork, Lucas, Jordan and Kipper couldn't) and freshmen Frazier, Smith, Willliams and Eboigbodin will likely be noticeably worse than the incoming group) so I am not saying we should expect to go 4-14 in Big Ten play (or 4.444 - 15.555 to make the exact equivalent with 20 games), but I do think people might need to start tampering expectations a bit.
Sure...just anybody who may stumble into the program.A transfer, Coleman, Ty? Any of those
So given our current roster. I’m predicting something along the lines of minutes.
G- Clark- 32, Epps- 8
G- Epps- 22, Harris- 18
G- Melendez- 30, TY- 6, Goode- 4
F- Hawkins-24, TY- 8, Goode-8
C Dain 22, BBV- 12, Hawk- 6
Yeah, it means another transfer will be needed. Luckily BBV at least is basically a case of "throw a dart at a mid major starting lineup and you can likely find a comparable big" level replacement. The removal of BBV throws a wrench in this. It was only 12 minutes but those were key minutes I don’t think Lieb can make up
Once Kofi announced his intentions it was a formality.Insiders, this expected? Done in light of what/who is coming down the transfer pipeline?
This reminds me of the parable of the Chinese farmer.I'm really starting to hate the transfer portal
Ha! There have been soooooo many times I’ve thought about sharing this. Today wasn’t one, so I appreciate the reminder. Thanks. This reminds me of the parable of the Chinese farmer.
Parable of the Chinese Farmer
Once upon a time there was a Chinese farmer whose horse ran away. That evening, all of his neighbors came around to commiserate. They said…bremeracosta.medium.com
BU didn't promise him what he wanted? (Be the man?)Anyone else watch Coleman talk and get the feeling like he is gonna play elsewhere next year? Seemed uncomfortable talking about his relationship with BU. Just my takeaway
With this much turnover, it’s gotta be hard to understand where you fit into the picture. He did say something about an exit strategy - even if he also said he was planning to return - so that does make me wonder. I guess he’s keeping his options open until the dust settles? Which I think isn’t going to happen before the penalty free window of the portal closes Friday. So… crazy times for sure.Anyone else watch Coleman talk and get the feeling like he is gonna play elsewhere next year? Seemed uncomfortable talking about his relationship with BU. Just my takeaway
