Old age - I always forget about Dain when we talk transfers.

On the other hand I love the Michigan transfer portal reinforcements - Joey Baker from Duke avg 4.5 ppg last season but did shoot 40% from 3

Somebody explain Grandison's departure to me. He would have started for what has turned out to be a very competitive assembled team.
Coach seemed to really like him and his game. Did he see reduced minutes? Would he think that Duke would give him more minutes and exposure?

I think Illinois is getting the rep of a program that develops players and gives them their best chance to succeed at the next level. Why leave?

It’s my understanding the Coach would’ve loved to have had Grandison back, but once Grandison declared for the NBA, Coach proceeded to recruit as if he was gone. Once Grandy pulled out of the draft, Coach had recruited players that would eat Grandy’s minutes and if he wanted to come back it would be with the understanding of reduced playing time.

Yeah, of course there's already a clip of Rodgers diving on the court for a ball. That dude is hustle and effort personified.

Skyy isn’t playing 40 minutes at the point. Epps is the other point guard. He’s going to get rotation minutes at the very least.

I love Goode, but he has Mayer, Shannon, Melendez in front of him. He and Rodgers will battle for time behind those three. Goode can play the four so he can get time there, too.

Agreed. My guess is Epps is 6th of 7th in MPG

I'd love for all these predictions to be true, but we aren't going to have everyone play in the rotation. Skyy, Epps, RJ, TSJ, MM, Dain, Hawk, Goode, Rodgers..... seems to me like all those would be locks to be ahead of Sencire. I think Sencire's only route to playing time is to beat out Epps.

I'd think that Goode, Rodgers, and Epps are all kind of battling for extra minutes and will probably be based on matchups and how their practices go. Probably similar to how Goode, RJ, and even Podz at times kind of were in and out of the rotation last year.

I didn't speak to rotations, minutes, locks.
I said RJ will be good. I think Harris will be a good player as well.

Please tell us all more about Sincere Harris' route.
