Mmm. I don’t think anyone thought Goode would be a starter if I remember people’s predictions here, including me. As Point-Illinois said above, kinda changes one’s perspective.
Sounds like a bit of coach speak to me. Not saying he wouldn’t have played an important role, but BU loses nothing by saying what he did. Injury still sucks though. While starting doesn’t mean everything on a BU team, it does suck to lose a guy that was gonna get starters minutes.
It feels like an even bigger loss all of a sudden.
I fully believe coach. I had Coleman, TSjr., Rj, Luke, and Skyy. Mayer, Ty, Epps and DD off bench. Positionless basketball. Mayer off the bench , he has not been fully healthy in 2yrs.Heal up good....LG! We're gonna need him down the stretch. Love to hear how locked in he was. Injuries suck.
While I certainly believe Goode will be a good contributor this year, I doubt he was penciled in as a starter unless RJ/MM was playing that poorly. This reeks of the classic Brad cap where he says whatever comes to his mind to the media with no way to fact check. Guy is a salesman and a good oneMmm. Indiana and the so called 2 best players can't shoot outside of 10ft. They whole team hasn't hit a jump shot in 3 years. The title will not go through Bloomington.Could the Big Ten's drought end, and other burning questions entering 2022-23
Who will be the face of the league with last season's stars gone? Should Nebraska really have joined? The countdown to the 2022-23 college basketball season continues with questions about the Big Ten.www.espn.com

I kinda thought the same thing but it makes sense that he would be - at least at the beginning of the season. He is a VG player and knows the system better than nearly every other player, given how few returning players with meaningful minutes we have this year. By the end of the season is another matter, but that’s kind of hard to predict sometimes.“We had him penciled in as a starter”
Underwood exaggerates all the time. Lol. No matter what he is saying, the lineup was always going to be Hawkins, Shannon, Mayer, Melendez, Clark when the season got going.Mmm. So, TSJ as the primary ball handler?According to the latest Sleepers Media podcast the starters for the scrimmage were TSJ, Melendez, Goode, Mayer, and Hawkins. Though I hadn't heard this mentioned anywhere else so it may be all hearsay.
Very obvious to me that they have not decided the season open starting lineup at the scrimmage so theoretically Brad could pencil in anybody.Underwood exaggerates all the time. Lol. It’s coachspeak. Propping up his injured player who is a key piece for the team.

The problem, as I see it, is that we are vulnerable to added injuries with the roster that we have now. Perrin may not be ready to contribute now but I suggest that he is more ready than, say, Lieb, Serven or Warden. If we have injuries this year comparable to what we had last year Perrin would likely get playing time. If not, he has the advantage of time with Fletch. This is all academic, of course, if he lacks eligibility at midyear. Why? I would be surprised if a young euro could come in as a freshman and help this team. maybe you know something i don't but
he'd be better off putting on a year of weight training with Fletch than to walk into a big ten conference schedule with an
anticipation to help. Who knows. Maybe he's way more advanced than i know. If mid year means to give him 9-10 months with
Fletch , that's a different matter.
