These guys are a bit goofy, but they do come up with some funny quips:
Illinois has “Braddy issues.”
Illinois = “The Real Housewives of Champaign.”

Their main take - One thinks this collection of Illini is better suited for the postseason than for making a run at the B1G. The other is still picking us to turn it around and win the conference. We shall see…

Might have been mentioned already as I do not read all the threads here, but someone said he unfollowed IlliniMBB and deleted his commitment post on IG.
I do not follow player social media so do not know if that is true.

I have no clue if he is leaving or staying.
I guess we will find out more Wednesday night.
Weird, based on that alone I’d say he’s gone.

Would hate to see him leave, but such is life.

His body language on the bench vs Cookman did not look like someone that isn't engaged or part of our team. I watched him specifically when I we watched bits of it. He was clapping and cheering throughout along side Goode! I think this is just negative speculation on some of our fans. I think he was just referring to gods has a plan and tweaking an injury although it sucks is a part of it.

Agreed, he did seem engaged that game. But, if the smoke is real, you have to wonder if the decision is coming from him or his camp. I do hope he sticks around, the potential is there

Im told he’s playing Wednesday, so there’s that.
Well there you have it.
I do think he has potential and maybe looked tentative due to the 5 out experiment, and not 100% confident with his knee yet.
I hope he comes off bench and Harris starts to keep the D energy high.
We cannot get into a hole on the road with a Northwestern who is not going
to shoot 28% again.

The switching D killed Skyy IMO. I thought he was solid on the offensive end but opponents constantly seeking him out on D hurt us.

I do expect Sencire to continue to start because he gives you more a bit more defensively (in a non-switching defense)

I don't think it will be long before Skyy is starting again if not right away. Against top tier teams especailly that apply heavy pressure, I don't see Harris playing as our starting PG long term.

These kids understand social media very well. I’m sure he knew the response changing some things on his account would have given him not playing — increased traffic. Sure it could portend something, but just as likely it’s him having some fun at the expense of rabid Illini Nation.

What's more valuable for the team right now? Currently I'd guess the staff thinks it's establishing the expectations of starting with high intensity on D since this team seems to play better offensively when they have aggressive d creating turnovers and getting out in transition. I'd like to see Harris continue to start.

I honestly don’t know what to think anymore. :( I was concerned about the little, talked-about, Tobey McGuire-Factor…

… then I found this online. Looks totally legit; amirite? (Dare, I say it…What if he was able to flip him this time??

Hmmm. Then why did the media types (at the time) talk about UI losing their PG when Gill went out with his foot injury and it costing us a few wins and ultimately the B1G championship? I do realize Bardo played PG when Gill was out and could play PG in general too...I just thought Gill was the main man at PG when he was healthy? Maybe not?
Bardo was the PG. Gill played strictly off the ball (as he did in the NBA). When Bardo was out, Smith played PG. As others have pointed out, Smith had better PG skills (and generally was more offensively talented) than Bardo. However, Bardo gave you a beastly defender and rebounder at the PG position, which helped compensate for our lack of height upfront.

I don't remember media types talking about Gill as a PG. And if they said that, they were 100% wrong, which is not uncommon.

Man, one insider was implying Skyy isn't hurt.

Another implies he isn't leaving.

I have no idea what to think, but bummed there's more drama.

Enjoy every moment you have. We all love the Illini, but sports are not the most important thing in our lives. Tonight showed us that. Hope everyone knows how good of people the players on our team are, and that's what is most important in my book more than wins or losses or anything else.

Sencire taller at 6’4” and he plays taller yet as he is quick off his feet.

This is all garbage. The KID will be fine. He has some things to learn on the defensive end and will work to get there. The coach said he is HURT. If he is hurt then he is hurt. Chill. If he decides not to come back next year, we will be fine. No reason to think that he will not be. Growth from a fresh to soph year is usually very high. He will be O.K starting or not.

Freshman Ayo had trouble finishing at the hoop when faced with college competition and Skyy is having such trouble too but I agree Skyy will be ok.

Didn't know where else to put this, but in the last couple of weeks, Hunter Dickinson has said the following (paraphrased):

1) Nobody goes to Michigan State if you can get into Michigan.

2) Wisconsin basketball are a bunch of "scumbags."

Lol, this dude needs a nanny to keep his mouth shut SO badly. If we do not accomplish anything else this year, I at least pray that we demolish Michigan and send Hunter packing without ever having ONCE beaten Illinois.
