Rj hype train is about to leave the station! Time to get on it! The breakout is coming and I'm putting on my conductor hat! Who's with me?

I have been on this train and still am but it's hardly moving.

Cmon now! Also, that dude in the gif landed flat down on his chest from like 4 feet in the air.
If he can do that and survive, all things are possible. I think RJ is gonna drop 30 pts Tuesday night.
Edit to include the unit of measurement involved because I know how you guys think.

I hope you are right. 20 pt from RJ will be enough for me (or even 15.)

Next year will be interesting with talent to replace Hawk and Matt in Hansberry and Perrin. They will probably be better as frosh than H &M were but certainly not equivalent at this point. Perrin probably better chance of starting as he is in practice now. Hawk is like a free safety in our current defense and is the mistake eraser. Dain and Jay to cover top scoring with RJ and Luke as possibles. Question is whether Luke starts at the three (vs Ty) or the 4 ( vs Perrin). Smaller lineup with him at the four but still good rebounding team. Possible to see Lieb in rotation or is Perrin the backup. Of course the transfer portal in play both directions so all speculation.

I believe that coach Underwood is going into the portal again. My guess is as good as yours but If I were to take a guess I would say that he goes after another long wing or two that can put it on the deck and shoot the three like Mayer or Shannon. Goodie and J.J. certainly have much potential but as of yet have not been able to prove for either one reason or another that they can provide what is needed there. That doesn't mean that they won't but better to have more depth regardless. Just my opinion on next year.

Hawk is leaving?

Most people think he will leave but why is that a mistake?
I don't think he is going to get drafted. Most think he is leaving because the mock drafts have him going in the second round but I don't think he shoots it well enough, handles it well enough and has enough Bball IQ to make it. Remember he was close to transferring every year he has been here so if he may just enter the draft just because.

Definitely remember all the speculation on him transferring. Certainly wouldn’t be surprised if he leaves but still think there’s a long way to go on how this season plays out along w NIL for what ultimately happens.

Still in the “receiving votes” category but making progress. Winning 5 or 6 is a great trend. Coaches had us at 25.
Only Mizzou and Charleston ahead of us in the "receiving votes" category. Almost certain to crack top 25 in AP with 2 wins.

Auburn #25 will almost certainly lose @ TN this week, and if UCONN #24 looks bad against DePaul and Georgetown, we should easily pass them with a pair of our own wins.

Time to keep chipping away and taking care of our own business. Goal should be to get to the 4/5 seed line in the tourney!

I think Hawkins will get a 2-way contract if he isn't drafted. His defensive versaitility is what I think makes him an intriguing enough NBA prospect. He is very switchable in that he can come out on the perimeter without getting completely worked, and also a quality rim protector. For a 6'10 player, that's probably the most important thing. His free throw % is a bit lower than you'd like but it's not *too* bad.

Hawkins will definitely get an NBA shot whether he leaves this year or next. His build and playing style is exactly what NBA teams value nowadays, even though he probably needs another year. I’m sure at least a few teams are willing to gamble on his potential.

I believe that is why it is a bad decision to declare for draft after this year. If he does not get drafted and is fortunate to get 2-way contract, I believe the flat salary will be a little over $500,000 or so.

No idea what he could get in NIL if he stayed an additional year, but it is easy to argue that NIL coupled with another year to develop would help his draft stock (or at least probability getting drafted in subsequent year). If he gets drafted, I believe rookie minimum is $1M. Unless he gets to the point where he is sure to be drafted, I do not understand declaring and walking away from NIL deals.

Kofi is probably only making around $250K-$300K in Japanese League. NIL is changing the game, and I am not sure why "bubble" draft players take the risk of declaring, IMO.
