With a potentially overhauled roster, these games are absolutely invaluable. Is it the most challenging opponent? No. If they don't show up, is the potential there to be embarrassed? Yes. Is it necessary for BU to see what he has and get a better understanding of who fits where and how the pieces will fit together? Absolutely. While you don't want a whole pre conference schedule made up of cupcakes, in the era of NIL....you need some.

Disagree. We need a few easy games to start and shake off the rust. After that, I want meaningful, Q1 and Q2 games only. If we lose to a good opponent, fine; at least it will be entertaining. If we play a cupcake that isn't right at the beginning, it's at best a snoozer and at worst a potential season killer.

Exciting, meaningful games only.

I mean how good is FDU gonna be next year? Have you even looked at their roster? Most of their players that contributed were seniors and they lost their HC. They’ll go back to a low major bottom feeding program. Not to mention they finished last year as kenpom 265.

They will be a cupcake. Don’t let a single game fool you of who that team was even last year and it most certainly will not be even that good next year.

I get your point, but have you looked at our roster? We don't even know what it's going to be yet. I know that insiders have their predictions, but the reality is that we POTENTIALLY won't have TSJ, Hawkins or a PG that's played meaningful minutes. We'll know in the next three weeks(I assume), but as it sits now...we have a few items to address. The schedule will play out, as BU doesn't ever schedule 11 bottom feeders.

I mean we were 18th in net sos last season…..a lot of sos depends on how your league finishes the season. Our non con sos last season would have been 7th out of the 17 teams ranked higher than us in sos
that was meant to be "does" want the toughest schedule in the NCAA

Hoping we can get some more quality non-con opportunities on the schedule in the next few months. @ Tennessee is great but feels like a likely loss. Won’t have an ACC/B1G game, and I haven’t seen us tied to a Feast Week event yet. Could get one in Gavitt Games I guess.

I know Friday night is a new thing when it comes to college basketball games happening. I still can't get use to it

We will have Mizzou for sure, I imagine a Gavitt game, no idea who though. If I had to make a guess....Providence? Seton Hall?

I just wish the United Center game would come back. That's a travesty that is gone

Maybe we can get a Big 12 opponent. Oklahoma St, Iowa St?

Also I didn't realize the Crossroads Classic in Indiana is no more.....hmmmm

Point of interest:
Domask, Harmon, RayJ, and Guerrero took 1594 shots last year.
RJ , Skyy, and Epps took 511 shots
Hawk and TJ took 639 shots
Scoring leaders next year will be interesting. Replacing low offensive efficiency with higher effiency but from lower competitive teams..
