Not sure where to put this, but it merits a celebration...

Goodness, can we just lay off the kid at this point? He doesn't play for us. He doesn't play in our conference. Out of sight, out of mind.
I usually agree with you, sacraig, on most everything, but I disagree here. This “kid” left his teammates and coaches and university in the lurch. This “kid” took advantage of our NIL donors. This “kid,” a very high profile player, very publicly hurt the reputation of our program, and he really hurt any chance his team had to succeed last season. Those are not slights that are taken lightly or easily forgettable. The fact that Skyy struggled mentally is not dismissed, but nowhere have I seen him give any kind of gratitude or recognition for the opportunity he was given at Illinois by Coach Underwood that he chose not to take.

So your response is to keep giving him attention?

When I think of Clark's time in UC, I'll quote him. "Nothing happened." Time to move on. Super hyped recruit, but unfortunately during his time here, nothing happened. In 5 years most of us won't even remember his name. Let him try to figure his stuff out somewhere else and focus on the players that are here.

Is it giving him attention if he has no idea people are even talking about him? I’m guessing he didn’t post that and immediately head to IL to see if he’s still getting stuck in the craw of Illinois fans.

Though if he did do that, then I’d say he ISN’T back in a good place mentally.

I don’t think Illinois fans seeing a piece of news about a player that they feel treated their program poorly needs to be policed.

Except for the fact that it’s in the ‘23-‘24 thread which means all this is off topic and will probably be deleted momentarily. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
