Pittsburgh's loss is our gain! For a time, at least. He likely gets fired sooner than later given his history. B10 official is the only position that tolerates continued incompetence. Not sure where to put this, but it merits a celebration...

Where have I heard that before?
Sounds like someone trying to convince himself. He needs to conquer learning how to defend.
I usually agree with you, sacraig, on most everything, but I disagree here. This “kid” left his teammates and coaches and university in the lurch. This “kid” took advantage of our NIL donors. This “kid,” a very high profile player, very publicly hurt the reputation of our program, and he really hurt any chance his team had to succeed last season. Those are not slights that are taken lightly or easily forgettable. The fact that Skyy struggled mentally is not dismissed, but nowhere have I seen him give any kind of gratitude or recognition for the opportunity he was given at Illinois by Coach Underwood that he chose not to take.Goodness, can we just lay off the kid at this point? He doesn't play for us. He doesn't play in our conference. Out of sight, out of mind.
So your response is to keep giving him attention?I usually agree with you, sacraig, on most everything, but I disagree here. This “kid” left his teammates and coaches and university in the lurch. My "Flyin Illini" t-shirt from the '89 season is "Flight 33" for Mr. Battle. A well deserved honor.
Lol. I had a basketball like that when I was young (no I’m not that old) and it was very difficult to play with compared to the deeper groves and texture of todays ball. Very slick and hard to handle.
His son, Steven, died in 1997.Sobering info here about Don Sunderlage and his wife dying in a car crash in Lake Geneva, WI in 1961, Don was 31, may he and is wife rest in peace. Their son Steven was just a baby at that time and this link does not elaborate about him. If still living, he would be age 63.

I don’t know. I searched for his name and found an obituary that mentioned his dad’s passing in Lake Geneva but didn’t say what his cause of death was.How did he pass away at only 36 years old?
