Just wanted to throw out two "looking on the bright side" scenarios for next year's team, regardless of how anything else turns out!
1. We will now be entering the third season (where fans were even allowed) of a consistently filled State Farm Center. Being a "great fan" is a habit that takes time to learn, and I think you will see the atmosphere within SFC continue to improve closer to the levels it was at during the Glory Years of 2001-2006. We now have seniors in the Krush who have seen nothing but competitive basketball teams and full arenas, and they are passing that down to the young kids. Conversely, the seniors who taught them were seeing losses and rare sellouts when they were underclassmen. It also takes time to gain a sullied reputation back, and I think you will start to see SFC continue to regain its national reputation of being a snake pit this season!
2. If TSJ can have another great year and elevate himself into an NBA draft pick, it is a MASSIVE win for this program's public image to have another Chicago-grown guard in the NBA this close to Ayo ... if he can help this team get over the Second Round hump in the NCAAs and secure a Sweet Sixteen berth or more, then that increases tenfold!
