Just beating a dead horse with the PG topic, but, does the staff not feel TSJ could assume the lead guard role full time? I know he’s limited to his dominate hand.
Why not put TSJ at the 1 and Ty at the 3? Ty can still relieve some pressure with his ability to create and handle.
Shannon’s weakness is ball handling and playmaking. Shannon’s biggest strength is getting downhill and bullying his way to the basket. He is no where close to a “playmaker” at this time. He either shoots a 3 or puts his head down and goes hard to the basket (out of control more than I’d like). It’s why he isn’t in the NBA. Shannon needs to rectify this if he wants to be in NBA
Ty has playmaking skills. He can go hard to basket, he can handle the ball in traffic & see the floor and those around him. Ty has the skills you need in a player that can make others better. Ty’s only weakness is his shooting. Call me an optimist but I predict Ty will be a better shooter this season. I think Ty is gonna be great.
Im very bullish on Hawkins too. He has got better every year. By the end of last year he finally became effective pulling up for short shots on his drives. It’s the part of his game that has been missing. I think he improves even more in this area. It would be cool if he could develop a little floater too. And sure. I’d love to see him improve his 3 point shot at least 5%. If he does all these things he is a lottery pick.
As far as NBA talent I’m most optimistic about Hawkins and Ty. But, all 3 have deficiencies that are currently keeping them from the league
