Citing Woodcock as an authority? Face palm.

Does mentioning a thing Woodcock said (that the poster doubts) and asking if anyone has comments count as "citing as an authority" now?
...

I think people put: "Woodcock says X, is this reasonable?", in the same category as "My 6 month old baby pointed at X, is it likely?" The framing of the question from first part makes people ignore the second part, even when it is a reasonable question.

Quincy's going to be making a strong bid.
I really don't think so, go back and watch some full game footage of him from last year. He's not a winning player/difference maker

1. Rodgers
2. Shannon Jr.
3. Domask
4. Goode
5. Hawkins

I'd bet money that is our starting 5 pretty much all year - assuming no injuries and won't be adjusted based on matchups, because Underwood has never done that
Think Dainja will be a starter along with Rodgers, TSJ, and Hawk. Also believe Guerrero will sub in for Dain to keep some bulk with Hawk. Domask and Goode mystery to me but tend to give Domask the edge based on his stats. Seem reasonable to me to keep one out there at all times as a sniper. If there is a typical 8 man rotation, it is also a mystery at this point. Lot of talent not mentioned and think Harris is generally undervalued but it may be more about chemistry than talent.

Joel Goodson

Obviously, Joel Goodson is too immature to even consider the question.

FWLIW, my intent was solely to throw shade on Woodcock, not on you. He's had a slew of bad takes (being kind here) and it's gotten to the point where any mention of him triggers me, lol.

Your question is fine, FWIW. I think Dainja will mainly be coming off the bench. He'll have ample opportunity to change that. JMO.

He kind of reminds me of Omar Payne. Hasn't had a great career, but people see potential. Obviously, Guerrier has had a better career than Payne had, but yea, I'm not sure we can expect much more than what he's already been, which is a good, not great player and definitely not a starter.

Quincy also played out of position at Oregon. That was probably at least partially his choice as well. He’s undersized as a 4 by NBA standards so probably hoped to show he was a capable 3. But he struggled to guard on the perimeter and it seems like he’s had an along came Polly hippo moment and realized he’s a 4. I’m hoping moving him back to his natural position unlocks another level and brings him closer to the player he was at Syracuse where he was third team all ACC as a soph.

But I think the Omar Payne comparisons are really unfair. Quincy has proven to be a solid rotation player and an 8-10 PPG scorer at the P5. Level. That player has value for any program and I’m sure he will get at least 20 mpg whether that’s starting to coming off the bench. Only way he doesn’t IMO is if Amani passes him up in the rotation but we are going to be really really good if that happens.

Ty Shannon Domask Guerrier Hawkins. That’s our best 5. I think handling/passing/defending are all improved with that lineup compared to last year. The real question is shooting which I don’t think will go away all year.

I think efficiency is the name of the game this year. I think BU wants to let it rip from 3 but this team has a ton of capable inside scoring options. Need to be an average 3 pt shooting team and I think the floor is extremely high.

How much Hawkins and Dainja play together probably depends on Dainja's ability to defend, and/or an improvement in 3p% from Hawkins/Ty. Really difficult to play 3 non-shooters at the same time, particularly when 1 hasn't been great defending.

I agree. I don't see the Payne comparisons either. Two altogether different players.

From what I have gathered. I am no insider but it appears to me that Dain has trimmed down and is moving better. Hopefully that improves his defensive efficiency while on the court. I love this team.

I agree with you about Harris. He is a baller.

no way Goode starts over Dain, Hawkins at the 4 and Dain at the 5.

would love to see it. That was the preseason talk last year, it but didn't really come to fruition. Players can improve from season to season though, and I'm rooting for him. He can be a great contributor.

You have not one ball handler in that group!!!! If the other team has anyone close to Sincere at the guard position we won’t even get the ball past half court.

Harris' freshman year reminds me of Trent's. Both were good at getting to the rim but didn't always finish. Trent had more opportunities and responsibility and a longer leash. If Harris grows offensively like Frazier, we have a player. I think he will.
