Hoping back by early JanuaryAny update on Nico Moretti?
Was it confirmed a high ankle sprain?Hoping back by early January
Foot. Was it confirmed a high ankle sprain?
Well, I have mixed feelings about your UM note. On the one hand, dropping down to quad 3 would not help the Illini much when the Illini beat them but on the other hand, it's Michigan. Dropping! Down! So, wait, what's not to like about that? Mixed feelings are gone, going with dropping down. So, that has the following changes for some games on our schedule:
vs. Michigan State: Quad 2 --> Quad 3 ... that's scary, lol.
at Michigan: Remains Quad 2 (becomes Quad 3 if Michigan drops below #135)
vs. Indiana: Remains Quad 3 (becomes Quad 2 if Indiana gets to #75)
at Michigan State: Quad 1 --> Quad 2
vs. Michigan: Remains Quad 3 (becomes Quad 4 if Michigan drops below #161)
at Wisconsin: Remains Quad 1
Don't have a strong opinion but LOVE that Shannon now finishes on the RIGHT side of the bucket - makes he that much tougher to guard. After the FAU game, I find myself asking the unanswerable question: who's better, senior TSJ or jr Ayo? Too early this season to make any judgments, but they have so many similarities, how do you not wind up comparing them? Brad's had some absolute beasts with Ayo, Kofi, TSJ
That's a difficult question, but I will go ahead and say this ... and my usually pessimistic/cautious dad agreed with me the other day:After the FAU game, I find myself asking the unanswerable question: who's better, senior TSJ or jr Ayo? That's a difficult question, but I will go ahead and say this ... and my usually pessimistic/cautious dad agreed with me the other day:
Recognizing that the season is young and all, but as of now this team looks better and more complete than our 2021 #1 seed team. And that excites me!
Yeah, again it is very early ... but I'd go so far as to say this squad would have handled the Loyola diversity better - possibly enough to survive and advance.MSG was a fantastic performance. That said, I don't see how we get those kinds of stats again, at least in terms of efficiency (I could see one or both of those guys hitting 30 again). I will say this, the poise of this team looks better overall, and that's saying something.
Wasn’t sure where to post this but it’s a great watch. Would love to see us incorporate some more of the back doors screens and cuts into our top of the key dribble hand off motions. Although we did just score 98 points
Let’s go boy!! Would be huge for him
Keep doing what he’s doing and he might end up #1.
In today’s NBA, he’ll never be even Top 5, because he’s too old. It’s a league of potential over performance. Go TSJ!Keep doing what he’s doing and he might end up #1.
Wow, that’s significantly higher than I thought would ever be realistic for a fifth-year guy… love to see it. Would be great for Shannon, no doubt, and just as great for the program.
I would say, "you are just a Big Ten homer," but somehow Izzo has managed to do this for, what, 25 years? I have learned not to bet against MSU as far as tournament aspirations go.Would not worry about MSU, they will get it together at some point this year
Fun fact: senior TSJ (Covid Super Senior) and Third-Year NBA guard Ayo are both 23 years old. Only six months age difference. After the FAU game, I find myself asking the unanswerable question: who's better, senior TSJ or jr Ayo? Agreed. Shannon is better physically and I think there is an argument he might be better and a tougher matchup for opposing teams than Jr. Ayo but a 5th year Ayo is likely averaging 30 a game and winning nPoy.Fun fact: senior TSJ (Covid Super Senior) and Third-Year NBA guard Ayo are both 23 years old. Love TSJ, but fun to wonder what a fifth-year Ayo would’ve done to the BIG.
