Are you really trying to say that our jerseys are not a deciding factor in if we play well or not?!For all of the superstitious among you, here is our record by jersey this year.
Regular White: 6-0
Script Throwbacks: 3-1
Regular Navy: 1-0 ... why did we wear a navy jersey at home?
Regular Orange: 1-1
Flyin' Illini Throwbacks: 1-2
Of course, the problem with anyone trying to act like certain jerseys are "good luck" is that we have tended to wear our regular ones in games vs. easier opponents, so it is not apples to oranges.

Funny side note, as I was complaining to my wife that two of our jerseys (Script and Flyin' Illini) are legitimately the best in all of college basketball while three of them are (IMO) completely bland and crappy (the three regular colors), I do admit that I had a kind of obvious thought ... maybe the new ones are slightly more comfortable or something??
I know that sounds silly, but even as a high school baseball player back in the day, we had a couple uniforms and one was WAY less comfortable than the others and it at least KIND of affected how you felt while playing ... and I didn't care what it looked like, I hated when we had to wear them. Obviously you would assume a D1 college hoops uniform would be about as perfectly tailored as possible, but just a thought.
Because again, if they are all equally comfortable, I maintain that anyone who prefers the new ones is insane.

Kind of like how any time a fan gets a T, they lose a year of eligibility?
The only way I see that as a technical foul, was if the official had previously warned the Illini bench about players entering the court or moving along the baseline area during play....otherwise that was a total

Yeah, that was a weird one that you never see called even when teams have their whole bench jumping up and down a foot onto the court after a big play. In this case it was one guy who was well out of bounds along the baseline, which had no impact on play or cause a hazard to anyone else. I think it's relatively safe to say DGL won't be returning next season:

I can't say I necessarily blame him, either. I refuse to believe Underwood can't find spot minutes for DGL, Dainja, and Nico throughout the games to keep our main rotation guys fresh throughout the season. I don't think anyone is expecting them to be as good as our starters, but Undy HAS to find a way to lower the rotation guys' minutes while helping develop the younger players. This team will wear down by the NCAA Tournament no matter what he says.
