Definitely a guy that would be sarcastically fun at parties.I love Hawkins sense of humor and willingness to poke fun at topics!

Can’t speak to his on-court progress, but it looks like he has a baby girl arriving this year.

Coleman’s shot is so smooth right now and he’s proving to be such a leader on the floor that he will find a home in the NBA next year. If there’s one thing he could work on it’s driving into the post, but that’s something I think a team will have him work on after taking a chance on him in the draft.I'm putting this here, because I don't want it to die with the Michigan post-game thread. Can we talk about how well Coleman is seeing the whole floor? It is quite remarkable. He just has a feel right now for this offense and where his brothers are at it is something we might not see again for a while. Coleman, if you read this board, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Nevermind his defense, this dude is legit. Come back for 1 more year
Love to see him work on that at the United Center !Coleman’s shot is so smooth right now and he’s proving to be such a leader on the floor that he will find a home in the NBA next year. I bet no. I think we have at least one transfer guard who will be starting next year. And at least one guard who will transfer out.Was that next year’s backcourt on display the last few minutes last night?
Wow, they looked tiny compared to our starting guards.
I guess the good news is they get to practice every day with one of the best sets of guards in college basketball.
Sean Evans we need a Coleman Hawkins Hot Ones episode.if this hoops thing doesn't work out, Hawkins should get into comedy. he's a natural:
If he can perfect that turn around fade away jumper in the paint, he would have quite an arsenal.Coleman’s shot is so smooth right now and he’s proving to be such a leader on the floor that he will find a home in the NBA next year. Why is the DIA SO hung up on the cold, hard logic of whether or not the gimmick's name "makes sense" that it refuses to give a nod to the past and simply call this Paint the Hall Orange??
I like the old terms as well, but this is likely due to contractual obligations to State Farm and avoiding any use of the word "Hall" in any official capacity. This is part of the issue of sponsoring out the venue name (though the sponsorship money way offsets any downside). Why is the DIA SO hung up on the cold, hard logic of whether or not the gimmick's name "makes sense" that it refuses to give a nod to the past and simply call this Paint the Hall Orange??
It's actually bewildering they did not do this. Kansas' "David Booth Memorial Stadium" and Indiana's "Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall" come to mind. They should have just called it the State Farm Assembly Hall and then there would have been no issues.
This was a strategic move by State Farm. If it had been the State Farm Assembly Hall, even more people would've continued calling it simply "the Assembly Hall". By renaming to the SFC, SF has forced their name into people's mouths. It's actually bewildering they did not do this. We're getting a TON of money from State Farm, which you get by giving the sponsor the name that will most strongly associate the facility with their brand. This was a strategic move by State Farm. I'm guessing we did not feel we had enough leverage to push back on this during negotiations.
They paid a lot of money. But it's a small sum by State Farm's standards. $60 mil for 30 years so, basically $2 mil per year. We're getting a TON of money from State Farm, which you get by giving the sponsor the name that will most strongly associate the facility with their brand.
There are those who insist that Ron Guenther in fact had already agreed to the deal in principle and Mike Thomas just signed the papers, but whatever the truth is, UI secured the bag on that deal.
Didn't work for me. I still call it the Assembly Hall. This was a strategic move by State Farm. If it had been the State Farm Assembly Hall, even more people would've continued calling it simply "the Assembly Hall". By renaming to the SFC, SF has forced their name into people's mouths.

Also if memory serves we got the same amount from State Farm for 20 years that IU got for lifetime naming rights for their Assembly Hall. This was a strategic move by State Farm. Same here. And I’ll continue doing so until State Farm starts putting money in MY pocket.Didn't work for me. I still call it the Assembly Hall.
