In terms of a historical minnow program joining the Big Ten and embracing the love of basketball within the conference, the Nebrasketball fans are night and day from the Penn State situation, good for them.
The RAC is a tiny gym so not quite the same thing, but the Rutgers fans are really good too.
The Big Ten as something distinctive dies at the end of this week of course (sorry spring sports). In the end Nebraska and Rutgers will barely be remembered as part of what was. But they were, for a moment, and it was fun while it lasted.
If those are actual gate numbers, I would be shocked.

You're probably right, but they filled their football stadium for the women's volleyball team. Husker fans are true fanatics for all their sports. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the gate numbers were at least close to it.
