Kenpom defensive rankings under BU:
2018 - 129th
2019 - 110th
2020 - 35th
2021 - 7th
2022 - 29th
2023 - 26th
2024 - 80th
2025 - 40th

So, we haven’t been a top 25 ish defensive team for 2 years………On July 3, 2023, Hamer was elevated to a defensive coordinator equivalent…….direct correlation!!!

Now we have a proven defensive coordinator. I predict a return to previous years under Bradislav back into the 2022 and 2023 ranges. Praise the Lord!!!

Anyone trying to get $1500 is in Fantasyland. Nothing wrong with going in high to see if a fish with take a bite. Sales are down....to date. Having this game on a Wednesday night alone will keep the sales and prices down. We're a good team that don't have faces that are nationally recognized....yet. Alabama is known as a football school. They aren't going to assist in drawing larger numbers. Your average fan wants to see Duke, Kentucky, UNC, Kansas, etc.

Chicago is not a college athletics town. Die hard Illinois fans will come out and support this team on a Wednesday.

If you went through a third party seller that early, you may have overpaid, possibly significantly. You probably should have sat tight. That said, you've got your tickets and don't have to worry about it at this point.

I foresee a 13K - 14K number, which is fine. It won't be a great look, but it won't be embarrassing either. It's just not well thought out scheduling.

It makes since why rush him with the potential he can possibly bring to this team no reason to open Pandora box of injuring his knee worse in meaningless games.itd be nice if he could get more reps with the starters but im with daddy Brad its not worth risking further injury also kinda makes it harder to game plan against us earlier in the season just my hot take though but I think were playing the smart and l9ng game

I've been think8ng about this you look at the super uconn team we lost to 2 years back i understand that was the beginning of nil era.but if you can build a team where every guy knows and accepts there position anything is possible kinda has me think8ng of the Derrick rose bulls teams just about any years past they'd would of won championships if not not for the whole super teams miami built.i think if there's a possibility of creating any modle of that in college and people are willing to accept there roles anything is possible maybe im grasping at straws but think its plausible if not possible right coach, right motto, and everybody bought in anything is possible

I've been a member since this site was started , with many different names. What happened Dan? With threads started for a purpose and now they go completely off the hook. It's horrible that I have to go through 10 essay long not even related to what you start. Just horrible, I'm old but not that old! I'll be hosting a, "AI" class that can get rid of stupid non meaning Illini Garbage. Nor, what you intended the thread/ topic.

Is mihailo petrovic our version of Tyler Kolek? If so, is our system built to support a player like that given all the ball handlers? Tyler thrived in a system where he was ball dominant and was the QB of the offense. With our system, could Mihailo succeed?

Just my opinion here but I wouldn't think about it that way. Simply put, it's never a bad thing to have an old experienced point guard on the floor. For as talented as KJ is, I was pulling my hair out wishing we had a heady veteran guard who took care of the basketball. Brad can take any piece of the puzzle and make it work. Compared to past players, MP is a right-angle that fits anywhere

Did anyone else get an email there United Center tickets for the Alabama Game are available and that you need to download the UC app. After downloading, I have been getting the same unexpected error when trying to log in. Although it makes you use the UC app it tries to take you to Ticketmaster to log in.

I don't think they could have landed him w/o talking about how he fits in here. He has played with skilled big guys before. (Mirk was on his team last year) With the guys we have this year, I don't think we have to be locked in to any one style of play on offense. They are all so versatile. I'm not sure any of us outside of the program know exactly what Petro's strengths and weaknesses are, but I am sure they had a plan for using him effectively long before he flew to the States.
