That's what I thought.LW is definitely taller than 6-4

I know I'm quibbling over something that was a tangent to the point of this post, and Fly! already mentioned this, but scoring efficiency is up overall. Normalized to the yearly average (AdjD/NCAA_avg_AdjD * 100), they were very typical:

I agree that if we could get halfway closer to Michigan's defense from last year (including playing at least as well against Q1A), our championship odds would look quite different.
Do you think Uconn had an advantage at the garden? I do. I anticipate a similar advantage for us at UC - possibly more.Really depends on if Toppin is back, which I doubt he will be.
Is UC going to be any different than Indy in terms of home court?
You’re right. According to https://fightingillini.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster, he’s 6’5”.LW is definitely taller than 6-4
Welp, this timing is insane, I'm not sure if my (incorrect) take is being argued elsewhere, but the arbiter has stepped in on the conversation against the level of remarkableness of Michigan's Defense:

Mr. Pomeroy really came out of nowhere from the top ropes on this one. The coup de grâce will be if his next article is about how USC should be in the conversation for B1G title contender.

If we only win one of those, please let it be UCONN. Hurley is insufferable.Yeah I thought similar... here is what I came up with:
Duke 30% chance to win (based on them being 6 or 7 point favorites at home)
UConn & TT games 50% chance to win (merely because I think its a toss up at this point who will be favored and 50% is nice, round #)
That makes the probability that we go 0-3 at around 17% (or only 1 in 6 chance)
1-2: 40%
2-1: 35%
3-0: 8%
(note: percentages are 'rough' as I didn't actually write the math down on paper)

The advantage in Indy was more than the advantage we’ll have at the UC:Do you think Uconn had an advantage at the garden? I do. I anticipate a similar advantage for us at UC - possibly more.
Sure they do. My point is we had a major home court advantage in the F4, Indy is closer than Chicago. I'd expect that Chicago crowd to be going haywire.Do you think Uconn had an advantage at the garden? I do. I anticipate a similar advantage for us at UC - possibly more.
Gotta be the shoes! My advanced analytics below appear to show that he is indeed definitely taller than 6'4", although the results are inconclusive.

Part of their strategy was smothering the three point and funneling players to Clingan. It would change everything.I think it's a lot more than decent. Hurley can coach but I don't think he could've drawn anything up to stop that team if they swapped Clingan and Hawkins.
Castle did a good job on Shannon with Clingan behind him but that defense suffers without him and he was in early foul trouble. Shannon would feast when Castle sits.
Then Domask actually was cooking them when Clingan sat in the 1st half. Was a tie game pretty late into the 1st half because of Domask.
What are the distances from UC to the burbs where so many alumni live? Bet they're a hell of a lot closer than Indy...
any guess as to what tip off time will be for UCONN?For United Center games, unless they don’t already, the Orange Krush and Athletics Dept. need to do Student Section travel deals to get as many student fans up there for noise and presence. Make it a hostile environment for opposing teams and show Chicago being deeply Orange and Blue.
my bad - I misunderstood you. I agree.Sure they do. My point is we had a major home court advantage in the F4, Indy is closer than Chicago. I'd expect that Chicago crowd to be going haywire.
You're measuring it from the distance from campus. The majority of the UI fanbase/alums are probably within 25 miles of the UC. There's also not 4 total schools participating at the UC. In Indy, we probably had 60% of the fans(total guess). At the UC, we'll have 95%+.
You're measuring the distance from Campus. Illinois has a HUGE contingent in Chicago/Burbs. The alums and fans buy most of the tickets to these neutral site games, not the students. Any students that come up is just a cherry on top.Sure they do. My point is we had a major home court advantage in the F4, Indy is closer than Chicago. I'd expect that Chicago crowd to be going haywire.
It is smaller too, crowd on top of you. Domes have a very different vibe. You're measuring it from the distance from campus.
