If BU is back and most of our players return, I want to see an emphasis on discipline and ball control. Fletch needs to work on hand strength for all of them but mostly Dain/TSJ if they return. Ball security has led to turnover city for too long. I’ve also noticed in the tournament this year how crucial it is with rebounding. Just a few random thoughts for the long offseason ahead.

Wonder what the ACC is wanting to do. They seem more proactive than the Big 10.

Are turnovers a hand strength issue or mental focus?

Can we send one of the assistant coaches to a "how to improve players free throw percentage" class?

I saw we get the WBB team to challenge the men to a free throw shooting contest, and give the men until Sept first to practice so the men can at least have a shot at being minimally competitive.

The Big Ten just nuked the entire conference system less than a year ago whereas the ACC is trapped in their TV deal for all eternity, what on earth are you talking about?
The ACC is trying to figure out why they only got 5 teams in this year and haven’t done well as a whole in the tournament. Something the Big Ten has not self reflected on

Reading the article seems like they are looking at how to fix conference schedules. And if NET is going to be around long term how to get better rankings or they might try and have the NET adjusted

The Big Ten hasn’t won a national championship for 20 years and there have been very little adjustments

The Big Ten was smart on how to make money but if the conference doesn’t perform better in March it will affect the bottom line eventually

You’re hitting a note I’m sympathetic to with the idea that the Big Ten cares only about TV revenue rather that the quality of the product it provides.

But the way basketball is played in the Big Ten has undergone a ton of change over the last 10-15 years and looks more like, well, basketball.

Big Ten teams already play tons of difficult non-conference games. The schools care about basketball a ton, have big attendance, and invest major resources in succeeding.

We’re doing the best we can. This was a down year for the league, but the flameouts in March the past two years are just kinda the way the dice landed.

If you aren't from Central Illinois, you probably didn't hear about the death of 2 Prairie Central senior athletes, both All State players 1 in football 1 in basketball. They died in a sledding accident out in Colorado while on spring break.

You also may not remember, but Underwood and Geoff Alexander attended a game at Prairie Central to scout Cole Certa. Sounds like Underwood stopped by Fairbury today to offer his condolences. The basketball player was the coaches son. Very classy move.

Most of the TO's that I remember from this season weren't not from a lack of strength....unless you're talking strength between the ears
