Random topic for the off-season. I'd like to see some new stats kept:

1. Hockey assists.
- This one has been talked about for a long time. Why the hesitation to keep it as an official stat?

2. Keep track of deflections on defense.
- I've heard coaches keep this stat and mention it in the past. I think this is really indicative of defensive pressure and also would be helpful with the defensive awards at the end of the year.

3. "Taps" on offensive rebounds.
- Similar to deflections, but a very different situation obviously. It's often that offensive rebounds happen because of the hustle of an offensive player to get a hand on the ball but someone else gets the full credit for the offensive rebound.

100% agree. Dan Hurley is far from my favorite, but in no way is he in Bruce Pearl's league. For me, Hurley's negatives are his perpetual victimhood and his constant verbal abuse of officials. To be fair, for a number of years I also criticized Underwood's treatment of officials. Brad has toned that down quite a bit over the years, which has been good to see. But Hurley just needs to quit claiming that everything is a conspiracy against him and UConn. He's a fantastic coach. His players would probably walk a mile on hot coals if he asked them to do so. His attitude turns many people off. I'm sure he doesn't really care about that, which is his right. But it's just such a bad look.

Bruce Pearl should have been locked up in federal prison for a few years for what he did.

For any of the younger fans, are you aware of the 1980 Boston College game fixing as chronicled in "Goodfellas"? Even though they were not charged or even was suggested to be involved, Tom Davis was the head coach and Bruce Pearl was a low assistant. Just saying. What Pearl did to Deon Thomas was a felony (secretly recording him, then doctoring the tape). When an SEC school (TN) fires a coach for cause, that tells you a lot. CBS/TNT Sports = Fox News.

This is funny. These top 25 lists need to at least wait for the transfer portal to clear up a bit. You have no idea what teams will look like
UK shouldn’t be on the list you don’t know who their coach is.

PU would surprise me being a top 10 team without Edey. Their guard are good but without doubling the post and getting 30 points from Edey will be tough to replace along with Lance

But that's why it's way too early.

Our current roster is nowhere even close to the top 25. But we know major additions are coming.

We have like 5 players, none who scored much last year. ESPN would look like a joke if they did rank us right now.
