Any idea on how many season tickets have been sold?
Per a email I got from the IFUND:

It’s a new era for Illinois Football! Under the leadership of new Head Coach Lovie Smith, the future looks bright for 2016 and beyond.

We’ve sold over 3000 new season tickets since the announcement of Lovie as our new head coach. With season ticket packages starting at just $99, you can be there for every home game during Coach Smith’s first season.

I know this is probably public knowledge, but why did Logan get kicked off of Michigan's team?

I wish the 2game package games were spread out more. Like UNC and MSU. Or UNC and MINN.

MSU and MINN are back to back. Would love to get UNC and MSU tickets

I got an email from the DIA about being able to change my seats for my season tickets. They gave me a date in June, it'll be nice to see if I can corral some friends and I all together somewhere and how full the stadium is with season tickets.

One Vegas oddsmaker has set the Illini over/under for wins at 4.5

Sounds right to me. I would probably go Under.

Murray State and Purdue seem like good bets for wins.

Western Michigan is a toss up - they have a lot of talent and were not completely outclassed by OSU and MSU last year.

Rutgers Minnesota also toss ups.

Will be underdogs in the rest.

ESPN thinks Smoot will be the most exciting player on this year's team.

http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/133592/most-exciting-player-illinois-fighting-illini-2

The holder of this title should be wide receiver Mikey Dudek. Unfortunately, he and his circus-catch ability are sidelined by a second straight torn ACL during spring practice. Running back Ke'Shawn Vaughn could become the team's most exciting player and certainly will have a lot of opportunities this fall, but his 4.6 yards per carry average as a freshman will have to improve. Wes Lunt has a world of talent at quarterback, but as a pure pocket passer, the excitement level about his game hovers around medium.

So we'll look to defense here and go with one of the true breakout players for the Illini last season, senior pass-rushing demon Dawuane Smoot. He led the team with eight sacks, 15 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles last year even with Jihad Ward on the same defensive line. Smoot could be ready for more this year under new head coach Lovie Smith, a defensive mastermind who promises to bring an aggressive mentality to that side of the ball.

I agree with their final verdict, but the logic of Vaughn's 4.6 ypc needing to improve is kind of weird....that's a solid enough average to move the chains, and pretty solid for a freshman getting the amount of carries he received. With that said, I am pumped to watch the defensive line this year more than any other unit on the team. Smoot Bain Clements Phillips/President will be a force, easily one of the better units in the B1G.

I was thinking the same thing - give me 4.6 YPC all day. Maybe its becuase running the ball up the gut for 5 yards doesn't really qualify as an "exciting play"?

Total head-scratcher on their part. 4.6 YPC from a freshman? It's not as if he had OSU's line blocking for him.
