"This strength staff, I have no words for how good they are. This is the best staff I've been a part of, with respect to every past staff that I've been through," Epstein said. "They really do (place an) emphasis on taking career of your body and soft tissues. (I'm) super, super glad and happy with the staff that Coach B put together."
That was 3 pages back! How can I be expected to search that far?! /s

Boy o’ boy! If we can beat Nebraska week 1… orange and blue raindrops will be falling from the sky! Cannot imagine the hype around Champaign!

Come on BB! Bring us happiness!!!

Last year's first game against Wisconsin and this year's game against Nebraska are the first really important opening games since having quasi-meaningless week 1 games since 2010 (last Mizzou matchup). Had some optimism going into 2020 and playing a team that the program had beaten the previous year, but the game was never competitive. It was a harbinger of what was to come. Similar vibes this offseason: new coach that is creating optimism for folks, playing a team that the program beat last year.

I would argue that a win against Nebraska is awfully awfully important if you have hopes of making a bowl game. Beat Nebraska and you can start to squint and see how the team might have needed that jolt from a new coaching staff and could capitalize on the veteran talent on the roster. Also means Frost will be canned after the year.

Might be a weird take but I'm actually relieved that Beason's absence is related to a different injury than continued fallout from his ACL surgery. Still would prefer him at CB but maybe his knee issues have sapped those physical talents from him.

Although a lot of times these injuries can snowball because they are compensating either mentally or physically for the previous injury.

You just never know how a persons body will respond to trauma regardless of how good of shape they are in. I had some personal experience with that. Dr. and I thought surgery and recovery would be fine with a little therapy. Never did get it all the way back 2 years later.

Yeah especially hamstring/quad coming off ACL surgery. Those 3 are all super connected. If you can’t get that strength/flexibility/ROM balance right between the 3, it can lead to big issues.

I need the advice of this esteemed forum. I think the over/under on wins for Illinois is 3.5. Is taking the over a good bet?
I’m really not interested in graphs and charts or even explanations. I will just be more confused. I’ll be very satisfied with yes or no. Thanks in advance for any help this forum can afford me.

It's called gambling for a reason, but I but $200 on the over and think I will be rewarded by season's end.

I would bet over, but just realize you’re betting against the so called experts. I wouldn’t bet the rent money. 😉

Yes.
I'm glad you didn't want a well reasoned explanation. I don't have one. Good luck.

A good Methodist, I don’t gamble. But it does my heart good to see Vegas lose.
As a not so good follower of the Wesley brothers I am not seeing the light of your counsel. Is that a yes or a no?

Any word on Bryant if he will be able to play this week. He will give us good depth and we need it because of the heat on Saturday. Saturday is almost here.
