Hearing Bret talk it's so clear that he has a plan. I'm sure other coaches did too but none of them seemed to have the confidence he did.
Plans only last until you get hit in the mouth. BB had a plan, got blasted found a way to make it work. Then when he had a chance to get back in the corner he cut dead weight and is coming back out swinging in round 2.

Not sure where to discuss this, but last year there was talk of new uniforms with the new helmets. It was said that nike had a contract with the current design until this year. Anyone have insight of possible new unis?

I think it is the following year. Not positive though
If I remember he is correct. We are at 4 years and are able to change our unis and helmets this year. I would expect something after Spring Ball or a release at Spring Ball or the first game.

The last update was released on April 6, 2018 after wearing the Beckman era Uniforms from 2014-2017. So despite hearing not hearing any buzz, I would expect something this year. Especially since BB didn't really make any changes outside the helmet last year and I am sure he wants his own consistent brand on style. Would still expect OBO and OWO, but with updated aesthetics moving forward.

How is it that we get locked in for so long when plenty of other Nike schools get new designs frequently? It seems some have gone through 2-3 updates/changes in the time that we can't even get 1.

Thanks for posting. While ultimately Coach Lunney is going to be judged primarily on his OC role, it's nice to see someone who looks like they know what they're doing as the leader of the QB room.
I'm intrigued by what transfer QB options Lunney will be able to get for 2023. I believe the last straw for Petersen came because he had no long-term vision at QB. I'm hoping one of the underclassmen steps up but it's a difficult ask after the coaching changes.
