I'd probably vote to scrap it.......since both teams would theoretically be playing in the multi-team, multi-game CFP. Would be wise to stay healthy and avoid an "unnecessary" and semi-meaningless game.Divisions are going away by 2024. I think a championship game depends on how the CFP details play out.
I had never been impressed with Mel (from his tenure with the Bears) and am thinking last year was just an anomaly. We wont know for sure for another year or two.PJ sure looks like he has his team playing at an extremely high level. They looked really good.
Mich St looked as inept and impotent as us before BB and his staff showed up.
I think the plan is that the champion would get an automatic bye in the playoff.I'd probably vote to scrap it.......since both teams would theoretically be playing in the multi-team, multi-game CFP. Would be wise to stay healthy and avoid an "unnecessary" and semi-meaningless game.
You see this happen time and time again....someone has a great year out of the blue, he/she gets paid an exorbitant amount of $ based on that one data point, then he/she reverts back to normal. I'd be shocked if Tucker doesn't fit that mold. Outside of last year, there is nothing in his background that suggests he is better than an average coach, probably below average. The one thing that gives me pause here is that he is killing it on the recruiting trail; all in all though, his career screams "Ron Zook!"I had never been impressed with Mel (from his tenure with the Bears) and am thinking last year was just an anomaly. We wont know for sure for another year or two.
So you would eliminate divisions? The game would have meaning if it determined the conference champion.I'd probably vote to scrap it.......since both teams would theoretically be playing in the multi-team, multi-game CFP. Would be wise to stay healthy and avoid an "unnecessary" and semi-meaningless game.
very expensive anomaly , to say the least...........I had never been impressed with Mel (from his tenure with the Bears) and am thinking last year was just an anomaly. We wont know for sure for another year or two.
This is the proper way to demonstrate Heather grey.

Agreed. Winning the regular season IS the championship.I'd probably vote to scrap it.......since both teams would theoretically be playing in the multi-team, multi-game CFP. Would be wise to stay healthy and avoid an "unnecessary" and semi-meaningless game.
As tough as Butkus has always appeared to be, I bet he's one heckuva a Grandpa. Not very football related, but . . .
Really? So they reversed the incomplete pass against IU?Illinois is 4-0 under Bret Bielema and has matched Minnesota's impressive start in the Big Ten West this fall.
Wouldn't it be great if the college football national media consensus just gives us that win?Really? So they reversed the incomplete pass against IU?
Lol, it shows how little thought goes into the bottom parts of these bowl projections.Really? So they reversed the incomplete pass against IU?
From Robert’s latest article, FPI gives us a 77% chance to make a bowl:Don't fall too in love with the advanced stats, because they say our likeliest outcome is 5-7 with a ton of close losses again.
That would suck. A lot. But the good news is that positive or negative, the road from this point in the season is always weirder than it looks from this vantage point.
Interesting. From Robert’s latest article, FPI gives us a 77% chance to make a bowl:

Just got back from that beach right there (that's Sunday's sunrise). Having a Thursday night game opens a window for a Friday-to-Monday beach trip, and September is by far the best time of the year for a Friday-to-Monday beach trip (nobody there! water still warm!), so that's what we did. It was...illiniboard.com
