Is there a good primer on the methodology PFF uses?

I'm inherently skeptical of their numbers, there feels like a lot of quantifying the unquantifiable happening there.

Pretty decent breakdown but basically they just watch every single play and score it accordingly which sounds kind of wild.

this in double bold! our players are from the same low ranked, bottom of league recruiting classes that have been our recent norm but they are actually being coached up, haven't seen that since.........
