Ok, am fully cognizant that visits are a far cry from commitments. That said, we're recruiting the snot out of the state and, generally speaking, we're getting a warm reception. That's a sea change from where we were a short while ago. Don't want to go overboard, but pretty darn encouraging.

Is it too soon to say that Aaron Henry is the best assistant coach we have had in....maybe forever? Our pass defense was nothing short of pathetic. In year 1 he turns Kerby Joseph from a bench-warmer into first team all Big 10 and a high draft pick who was named to the all rookie team. By the end of year 2, 0 star Devon Witherspoon has been turned into an All-American and a likely 1st round pick, Brown and Martin have turned into likely draft picks and low star players like Strain, Nicholson, Bailey, etc have turned into solid players early in their careers. I can't think of any position coach who has had such an impact in such a short period of time

Think it’s fair to say Lovie had an eye for DB talent.

Henry has had an outstanding run, but Walters gets a lot of credit too. And those guys inherited some nice talent.

Think Lovie made two major mistakes on defense. One was going without a defensive coordinator and two was hiring his son as LB coach. Lost out on huge opportunity to recruit and coach after his initial DC coach selection.

Lovie simply didn’t adjust ANYTHING in his coaching repertoire from the pros to college . He pretty much refused to believe there was any difference in where his time was best spent .

as fans , we could see it and it was so frustrating
