I think we see a big drop off for Michigan in 2024. Could be 7-5 or even 6-6 if Illinois can pull one off against them. 9-3 is probably Michigan’s ceiling, as is illinois’. Just my opinion.
Disclaimer; I lost every single futures bet I placed last season.

An observation I had I thought has been interesting, I’m seeing almost as many Michigan license plate frames, stickers, and clothing out here as usc. Almost want to tell them to just put it all away

I mean Tommy was an efficient QB but not a ton of explosive plays. Altmyer is in year two of Lunney's offense. Kinda reasonable to expect a lot more.
If Altmeyer can speed up his clock, progressions and release along with his overall timing he will be better. If he can do those things at the level Paddock did last year it would be tremendous. Hopefully he learned something by sitting and watching those games at the end of the year. There was a reason a guy with less athletic ability and skill was still playing his position after he got healthy again.

Absolutely the most excited I've been for a QB in a long time. I think he has what it takes to be a top 5 QB in the B1G.
Especially since he already was last year depending on how you slice it. And that was with only 9 games played

If Kaden is healthy, Luke will be throwing a lot of play action against teams with 7 in the box.

There will be a lot of receivers in single coverage downfield. This will help Luke a lot.

Isn't the staff as high on Jordan A as they are Kaden? Would be great to see both of them healthy and rotating with McCray, too. Can see the emphasis on the ground game by BLJ during his press briefing on Monday.

These additions to the OL are huge, in terms of raising the floor and depth. As are the new guys on the DL.

Jordan still recovering... it's likely Laughery and Feagin to start the year, no reason to rush Jordan back

So…, can we go over .500 in B1G play this year? Will we finally have a season where we don’t have to rely on good refereeing to win?

Who’s the fastest receiver? An effective play action with 7 in the box to get a safety to hesitate for just a split second with a receiver fast enough is tough to stop. Personal favorite is a post. Is there anyone that can “stretch the field”?

How are they filling the pool of referees with the new teams? Some coming from the Pac 12?

Illinois Accounts: We need people to buy season tickets and to show up to every game to support the team
Also Illinois Accounts: We LOVE giving up home games for neutral site games, and moving game times so that anyone who lives out of town or works a later shift will not be able to attend.
Still Illinois Accounts: You are actively killing this football program if you don't show up. Do you even care about this team? Tens of thousands in tuition, apparel, season tickets, and NIL aren't nearly enough. The only excuse for your butt to not be in that seat on a weeknight is if it's at the concession stand. We will send TAs and Grad Assistants to your house or place of work and drag you into our actively on fire stadium.

I'm impressed with our RB stable of Anderson, Feagin, Laughery and McCray. I'm especially anxious to see Anderson healthy. He's a load to bring down.
