I'm not willing to thumb through years of Illinois football coaching staffs so I'll put it out in the ether and see if anyone knows: What was the last year that Illinois football's coaching staff didn't have any turnover?

I am fairly certain going back to Zook at least there hasn't been such a year.

But until signing day has come and gone, we don't know whether that's the case or not.

I want to say that's good. We took two kids that had 0 chance at the NFL and in 1 season with Walters and BB made them potential draft picks. Can't get a better recruiting pitch.
100%, and inside backer is a position of strength depending on Hart’s recovery.

Free Safety will be TBD, but it was TBD to start this season and we ended up with Kerby doing ballhawk safety type things.

Yep having someone step up in the free safety position will be key. Kerby’s development really allowed Sidney Brown to roam around and thrive. We need him in that role.

Time for Big Ten football to introduce relegation?
Next year the divisions would be-
Top tier:
Michigan
Ohio State
Michigan State
Iowa
Wisconsin
Minnesota
Purdue

The rest:
Penn State
Maryland
Rutgers
Indiana
Illinois
Nebraska
Northwestern

Play your division once. Keep a rivalry game if needed. Schedule a Pac and ACC non-con. If anyone in Top tier has a worse record than anyone in The rest, they swap next season.
Edit- Best two teams in the Top tier play championship.
I don’t hate it. It’s better than Legends and Leaders.

Gotta be Jartavius' turn for the light to go fully on next year. He played really well this year when he had the opportunities. So impressed with how assignment sure our guys were this year, particularly at the end.

My friend who’s a sports agent actually said “Tolson had a 5th round grade going into the season, but fell off. If he has a good combine/pro day he can work his way back in”

To my dismay he wasn’t able to sign Owen after talking with him for a little. I’ve been trying to sell our player’s to him for the last couple yrs now lol

I remember when we played ASU under Beckman and they ran the play action with a receiver running a flat route to the weak side and it took us like 3 quarters to adjust to it(it's like one of the most basic spread concepts) and then even whej we adjusted they threw it anyway because lol were we really gonna stop them?

Seems like a life time ago. We look so much better now.

Man I know it's popular to !!!! on the previous staff, but this is a bit exaggerated.
I mean we can take it on putting down the old staff, but we didn't have a single player drafted in the Lovie years. Now we are losing two Lovie kids who were definitely not highly rated to the draft and they were confident enough to sign agents before hearing their grade. I don't think I am being mean just stating the true events of what happened. We turned not highly recruited kids that didn't fit our program into draft pick imagine what we can do with you is a good sales pitch to some of these kids.

You give the new staff all the credit for the development of young men who are now Junior/Seniors aka the year a lot of them blow up and are on draft radars. Not a single kid drafted under Lovie? Allegretti? Milo Eifler? Nate Hobbs!? Kendrick Green?

I am also a fan of the new staff, but hyperbolic statements give them too much credit
