"Only teams with a G League affiliate can utilize Exhibit 10 deals, meaning Denver, Phoenix and Portland cannot."

If someone can explain how that will effect Giorgi.
Oh...well, why'd they give them that contract if they couldn't use it? That's bizarre.

I think the Exhibit 10 guaranteed that Giorgi would be waived. He'll get a bonus for signing with the affiliate G League team. I really hope he can do well in the G League and get some time called up. It's a long season and there are bound to be injuries.
If he chooses to play in the G League that is. He might rather play overseas and be closer to his family.

Someone mentioned that Denver doesn't have a G League affiliate, so...yeah, I don't see any incentive for Giorgi to stay. He can make more in Europe. I am totally not getting why he signed an Exhibit 10, much less his agent haggled over it. I'm totally confused.

It’s silly to think the Bulls won’t be moving a G soon. I’d look for a deal with White. Rumors out there already.

Ayo can outplay Dotson and Thomas, maybe Green...and make Coby White expendable for more frontcourt depth. There's room to move up and get minutes, hopefully.
I think Dotson is going to be on the G league team. Thomas is only going to play in blowouts and Coby is hurt. They started Green in the front court and had him guarding power forwards even though he is 6' 4". Ayo has made an impression in practice. They say that he asks all the right questions as a rookie.

Yeah, Green is going to be used as a 3/4

Let's go Ayo! I think he's gonna make the regular roster! No G league! But if he does play in the G league it won't be for long!
I agree he’ll be with the big club initially. If he’s not getting at least a few minutes most nights, they might send him to G league for a bit to get regular minutes. But I think he’ll spend most of year with Bulls.

Denver didn't just decide to have their G League affiliation, yesterday. This is something that they knew they wanted to do months ago.

Ayo may not become a regular in the rotation that Billy Donovan establishes to start the season, but he has one thing going for him that none of the other back-up guards on the roster do: his extraordinary Chicago back story and strong family connection to the Chicago community. The Bulls Marketing, Community Outreach and Charities Directors all must be salivating at what a great Ambassador Ayo will be for the Bulls speaking at local high schools, community groups, hospitals etc. He is just so darn likeable, motivational and impressive! When you add that to his being such a hardworking and humble practice player, good teammate and hungry and talented high floor rookie role player, there is no way that it makes sense for the Bulls Organization as a whole to have him playing in meaningless G league games in Fort Wayne, IN rather than sitting on the bench mostly watching a young, hungry and improving Bulls team at the United Center while learning to become an NBA rotation player from LaVine, Ball and Caruso et al. in practice.

One minute of playing time into his career and he's the Bulls season leader in +/-!

Ayo's +6 means that while he was on the court, his team scored six more points than their opponents. Caruso's -7 mean that while he was on the court, they were outscored by seven.. Easy peasy.

So that means that Ayo obviously should have gotten the 4 year $37 million dollar deal rather than Caruso, who originally came into the league as an undrafted free agent . . . What were the Bulls thinking? /s
How AWESOME that Ayo got minutes in the first half of his first NBA game!
