I really didn't think Ayo's game would translate to the NBA, and honestly, even with his hot start I thought it was a little flash in the pan beginner's luck or something. But man, he is just good at basketball. Does so many things well, I think he'll stick around for awhile.

I hear ya. I thought he'd be successful, but not to this degree and certainly not this fast. The thing is, his game doesn't even look the same as it did in college. The ease with which he's adapted to the NBA game, and a different role, is super impressive.

He is older than most rookies and gets more minutes than the typical 2nd rounder. Still impressive though.

Ayo having another pretty good game filling up the stat sheet. 9 pts, 8 rebounds, 3 assists (should be more if anyone on this team could hit a shot), 4 steals, 2 blocks, while playing solid D against one of the best guards in the league. One thing that stands out too, he's got the most minutes so far early in the 3rd.

Great to hear national or opponents broadcast teams rave about Ayo. Ayo although not elite NBA athleticism he is fast up and down the court. Ayo also has good height and length to cover the guards. See him getting better each year.

Really happy for Ayo putting up big statlines. Wish he could do it in some winning efforts though.

Watched this entire (terrible) game on TNT, and they must've made 10 references to Illinois. What Ayo has done for this program cannot be understated. I know no one here needs to hear it, but it's always nice to hear.

Nonsense!! Sing that sh$t from the rooftops!!

Ayo’s success is really quite simple. He does things that help you win games. Shares the ball, looks for the best shot (regardless if it is for him or others) plays very good & sometimes great defense, rebounds, and shoots at a very high percentage. Things he doesn’t do? Turn the ball over, sulk, ball hog, he is a rarity in that he isn’t looking to get his. That hard part was finding a team that valued that, and is willing to nurture it. Many teams are so iso dominant and are looking for someone to be the alpha. Right now Ayo wants the team to win, always about winning. How many times has he been wide open amd teamates I got him or don’t see him? I have seen a handful of games and he never shows emotion about it. Keeps his head up, doesn’t try and do to much and keeps working. I remember thinking he would have fit well on the Spurs…. So glad he landed with the Bulls, and my respect for Billy Donavon has increased 10 fold. The Bulls do so many things outside the “norm” and value assets others don’t.
