Gonna be a tough sell. Iowa already has a commitment from her high school teammate Journey Houston from Davenport and they've been recruiting her since before Shauna came to Illinois.

Honestly as a player in high school myself I don’t think I thought about the ethnicity of the coaches..Coach Green and her team does have diversity as does most teams.. Try he head coach does the sell, gives the belief..We have a pretty good visionary and motivational lady right now..Heck we already have McD kid on the way next year…Oops sorry I was speaking from my long ago history..lol.At least Shauna is getting them on campus. Deron played with Bracey Wright. Deron came to Illinois. Bracey who was higher profile went to Indiana.
Sometimes people want to get out of the shadow of their HS teamates.
There is a major difference between Illinois and Iowa WBB team. If you were a minority HS player it could be a major issue. The same difference exists in WBB coaching staffs of the two teams. Illini have 2/4 minority assistant coaches (excluding recently promoted grad assistants. Iowa has 1/4.

A great start to the class. It's hard to tell how many scholarships will be awarded for next year due to potential covid fifth-year players but I expect Cook, Bryant and Bostic to return. Peebles and Hobby will have used up their eligibility. Ndour could theoretically return for her fifth year but I doubt that she will. IF all of that comes true, then I believe that we will have two more scholarships available for next year. Of course there could well be other players who choose to leave or we could theoretically add another player, yet this year, in January.
What was her injury?
