I haven't caught many games, but any explanations on the rough 3pt % this year? Looks like 0-8 again today. Is it bad looks, D forcing them off the line or what? They were a good shooting team from range last year and now its abysmal.

I don't know what happened from one season to the next, but this team sucks. Can't shoot. Can't rebound. Gives up fast too many drives to the basket. Just brutal.

Williams and Wisconsin just too much for Illini today, 67 - 61

Did that game remind anyone of the Illini men vs. Purdue? We were killed on the glass. Made a furious comeback but paid the price for poor play and really poor shooting. Wisconsin reminded me of how we played last season. Hustle and heart. Not sure who the leader is on our team, but we need her to rally the troops ASAP.

Been a puzzling year for the ladies....................defense has wavered all year compared to last year......shooting is off also......

Puzzling....................it really really is............jmho.............
We thrashed these cheeseheads last year in Madison in our only meeting. They were down two starters today. They have been outrebounded by their opponents on the year. They list the Porter kid at 5'4" but she looks significantly smaller than Cook or Bryant. She had 12 rebounds today and Wisky beat us on the boards by a dozen. However, where the game was lost was at the free throw line. Wisky 19 of 25 to our 4 of 6. They outhustled and outtoughed us today. In 34 minute, Shoup-Hill and Peebles gave us 2 points and 1 rebound. I don't know how we fix this team this year. Gotta keep plugging.

Another not so inspiring performance today. Don't know what is wrong but the good the team did last season is being lost this year. Still time to recover but it is running out.

I missed the game, even though I have BTN+. Mostly due to apathy, and I’m not happy about being this way. I chose to watch MSU lose to NW, instead.

For this season, I hope the young players are getting valuable court time and the focus is still on winning, but also building and stabilizing for the future.

In any event, I’m going to do better to watch.

The officiating crew of Jamie Broderick, Maggie Tieman, and Julie Krommenhoek did not have their best game, in my opinion ... especially in the 4th quarter. There were 10 fouls called on the Illini in the final stanza, but only 1 foul called on the Badgers the entire 4th quarter (on Serah Williams at the 7:44 mark).

I know for a fact that there were 4 game changing calls submitted to the Big Ten office after the Illinois / Indiana game, in which the Big Ten office acknowledged officiating errors in all 4 instances. I wonder how many will be submitted to the Big Ten after this game.

Think we are a one trick pony this season unless we have any transfers/recruits outside of Hobby contribute off the bench

Same stuff from last year is killing us this season and it looks worse

We are a perimeter team that is very average from outside. Bryant is shooting well and think Cook will be ok after a slow start due to injury. Outside of them there is no consistency from the perimeter.

No consistent low post offense/defense outside of Bostic.

Inconsistent rebounding both ends. This isn't just a height thing but teams are aggressive on the boards against us. Yesterday 5'4 Porter, 5'7 Copeland and 5'8 Leuzinger had 9 offensive rebounds combined against us. I mentioned earlier in the season if we can't make shots than we need to hit the boards because Bostic and McKenzie are the only consistent ones on the offensive glass. Bostic/McKenzie combined for 7 of the 10 offensive boards(Hobby 2). Time for a guard or any big outside outside of Bostic/Hobby to occasionally hit the glass.

Free Throw attempts. Officials will make mistakes but it goes both ways. Lack of FT attempts will happen when we settle for jump shots. Once again Bryant/Cook took a combined 30 shots and only 2 FT attempts(6 in the game).

Bench or not too bench. We have 4 starters we know what we are getting and Shoup-Hill/Hobby split playing time at 5. Peebles contributes off the bench at times. Might be time to expand the bench and throw some of the raw talent on the court for experience outside of last second minutes if results continue. Injury bug hasn't hit hard yet, but might soon if we keep playing heavy minutes on our top 4 players.

This season could end up being a speed bump. I am still very excited about the future of this program!!!

If #25 Williams got breathed on ... "foul". On the other end, both KB & Hobby received A LOT of contact going to the rim, but they were expected to play through it.
