Washington St. is much like us in that they play five starters for a lot of minutes. Typically go about 7 deep. Most of their starters are international. Their guards are taller than ours (duh) but they aren't a particularly big or strong rebounding team. Should be a good matchup for us.

Charlisse Leger-Walker went down with ACL injury about two months ago. Washington State finished out the regular season/conference tourney 3-8 before winning three straight in this tournament.
Illini ladies have been fortunate enough to stay healthy with starting 5. We are the only remaining team to use our starting five by choice and not sub in starters due to injury.

Finally got around to watching the illini's game against Tulsa , and what a great performance by the Illini.......Having to deal with Cook's foul trouble's and a more than dubious officiating crew (wow, I thought B$G's refs were bad ) the beloved prevail and go to the WBIT semi's........
Credit the team for withstanding the loss of playing time for Cook and for McKenzie playing through a serious injury and returning to the court............A disappointing regular season has turned into a great response to a chance for more post season play and the women are playing as good or better than anytime in the season thus far.......
I do want to also give credit to the TU announcing duo.....that was one of the best announced games this season of all the games I have watched the women play.......Yes , they were homer's , but fair and balanced and gave a lot of superlatives to the Illini for our play in the game and our season..............
It is so exciting to see how , right now , both the MBB and WBB squad's are performing.....
One quick question......with Cook announcing she will return next year & Bostic returning also , has Genesis made a decision yet ???..........asking for NL # 3 and me............

In talking with family after the game on senior night, they expected Genesis would be back. My guess is she focused on the now and waiting until after season to make decision (or announce if already made).
Sounds like we have a pretty good chance of winning this one. I really want to end this season on a positive note. Playing in the championship game would be great. Winning it greater!

Today is a great day to be a fan of Women's basketball...........................The Ladies will take center court today starting with the beloved playing a semi final @ 4 pm.........
Then the much anticipated rematch of last year's championship game with the idiots against the non-angels @ 6:15 pm , followed by the 8:15 pm game with the Ju Ju's taking on the geno's............
A fun day to watch ladies BB , as I am addicted to their raucous style of play and all the trash talking going on.......
here's hoping the Fighting Illini win their game today to progress to the championship game of the WBIT tourney........
The Iowa - LSU should be a classic matchup of differing style's and skilled players throughout........
The USC - Uconn game will feature Ju JU Watkins and all her talents against Paige B. and her experience in the tourney.......
I'm gonna sit back with NL # 3 at my side , get medded up and enjoy this day of estrogen filled games at a high level.......

Let's go Illinois! I'd love to see this team end the season on a W and build some more forward momentum for this program. The past 2 season have been the most fun Illini Women's Basketball seasons for me to watch since the Jenna Smith playing years!
Tennessee fired their women's b'ball coach. I assume they wouldn't be looking at Shauna, would they? I wouldn't think so, but we know how things can go with the dominoes and Illinois. LOL.
Bless her for sticking around the program once Grentz resigned after her FR season. Smith was a beast, unfortunately she helped Law keep her job a little too long.
If Shauna took Illinois to NCAA sweet 16 maybe. Getting to final four of CBI is not good enough. That being said Josh W is not letting Shauna get away without a fight.
Tennesee fired their coach for losing in 2nd round of NCAA. We dream of making the 2nd round of NCAA.
Tennessee is like Indiana. They want NCAA championships. I think they bring out the big guns this time.
