What I can say about this years freshman class is "the college game is still fast to them"
I've been following Illini sports for almost 60 years and this is the FIRST time I've been excited about women's basketball. I LOVE this team, who go out every game and show their moxie by beating bigger opponents by sheer will and determination. Scrappy, aggressive, athletic, fearless, well-coached, team-oriented, joyous, cohesive, tough-minded, results-oriented-- the list of descriptors goes on and on.Lady Illini have SAND!!

Anyone care to add? They are all a huge credit to The University! And enjoyable to watch.
Oh, and SAND, too!
Any sign of Genesis?
Certainly bigger at the guard spots and a good 3 pt shooting team. Will be a tough game for sure.Is Md, again, bigger than us, just about all teams are these days?
She’s out. Don’t know how long.They start 5’8”, 6’0”, 6’1”, 6’2” and 6’3”. Their 3 off the bench are 5’10”, 6’0” and 6’0”.
How is Genesis’ ankle?
Yes, according to the announcers.Wow! What a 1st Q. 5-5 from 3 and up 20-14
I’m just following the live stats. They must have taken off the layup at the buzzer by Cook?
