Saw the full game on YouTube. Offense was not good after 1Q. Some quick shots instead of running offense. In defense, would leave post player open to help with ball handler on a pick and roll, instead of allowing the quicker guards recover especially where their PG was not driving it into paint most of game.

Would’ve liked to see lineups mixed up more and try different offensive combinations since shots were hard to make
I don't believe Maddie Weber scored. Is that correct? Many minutes? I like a lot of things she brings. Quick and a tough defender. Can shoot it and definitely a penetrator. Needs more opportunity. Your thoughts?

Correct. 14 minutes. I haven't watched so I'm not sure what was the issue. Green needs to find a way to get her going even if it's a little rough. She's way too active to play so few minutes.

Well I say Dolan you can shoot that many shots but if they are not going in,you have to improve the quality of the shots..Either get closer to the basket for free throws or the one extra pass to the better shot..Webber is just sped up and nervous like and already in a mental battle with own self..Her shot selection needs to get a little more conservative too..And she is not much of a passer yet... Shooting woes are apparent for a young team, but I thinking that will change through the year...It does hurt to lose this one when it looked very winnable...

Seemed like she was expecting limited minutes and took a few quick shots/ bad selection. Looked like was trying to hard to make an impression.
Need more offensive firepower. Give her steady minutes to grow and not be so impatient.

I agree with you.I think the growth will occur somewhere within this trove of mid major cupcakes..We definitely have an alpha, but the the team of the past 3 years had leadership and continuity ,but this team has talent.I can see could possibly become overpowering but right now kinda pedestrian...We did lose 2 key players that would have helped tremendously
Finney is a great shooter and Alves will be a professional.

Dolan will shoot better. Can't imagine she ever goes 4-19 again. If she does Shauna should bench her. We lost by 5 so if she goes 7-19 37% we win.

Weber is a JR. She averaged 8 ppg as freshman and 13 ppg as sophomore at Villanova. She just had a bad game.

Players who should see big improvement as they get experience - Jackson (freshman) Parchment (freshman)

Guyton is coming off HS knee injury. Averaged 5 ppg playing 16 mpg at Iowa as freshman. She has not practiced much due to boot. Expecting big things from her this year. We need more easy fast break baskets from Jackson and Guyton.

Was nice to have Guyton and Jackson in the game at the same time, both handle the ball well, pest on D and today were looking to score. Much like our past few years when we had small, quick guards. Yet we can easily switch up to taller and more physical ones if needed this year. Wallace and Parchment showed once again they can have a double double every game as both score and rebound well.

Side note the play by play done by Ella Peterson was good, not much help from her partner. It was painful at times to listen, but hey we all have to
learn.

We play like we are trying to be loose but tight. Almost like we don’t have a good feel for what the teammate is going to do so we are thinking too much.

Gretchen Dolan can shoot over anyone guarding her. She just shouldn’t.

Gretchen is in a shooting slump. Hopefully she breaks out of it soon. Luckily the rest of the team has been picking up the slack. Nice games from the freshmen and also Berry Wallace who seems to be having a nice breakout season so far.
