In the last few days Hailey Van Lith from Louisville and Lauren Betts from Stanford entered the transfer portal alone. Sounds like Van Lith has already decided her destination just hasn't announced it yet. Lauren Betts was the #1 prospect in the 2022 class. Plenty of talent in the portal for Illinois to land a few quality players. (Hopefully two post players)
Things are cooking. In talks with 6'3 ACC wing who was a top 30 recruit.

Also if you need a big.. dont get much bigger than Betts.. I'd be full go serving up that O&B koolaid every time she's thirsty.
Any chance Green can land Betts? Any hint on the ACC wing? I was guessing NCSU, but I can't think of anyone on their team that isn't already committed elsewhere.
If Illinois would land Betts than the NIL market for the women's program must have a secret donor I am not aware of

We need two BIGS!! This team is set up for a championship run with the whole starting team returning and great outside shooting and hard nosed defense. If the two mentioned above materialize...look out!!! And with the two committed freshmen... WOW!!!! LOADED!

She was in the portal less than a week and transferred to Ole Miss at the end of March

In last week Aneesah Morrow from DePaul entered the transfer portal...not heard but this lady is an All American from Chicago and hopefully reached out to her at least. She will be one of the most coveted in the portal this offseason

The staff is very aware of "how much of a beast Morrow is", the previous staff also recruited her hard so Jada is aware of her.
The staff also is in tune with the decommit of Jordan Wood. I don't know if any Zooms or other meetings are in the works though, sorry to disappoint. The visit is going swimmingly with Hobby though.
