Good game they are starting to account for Belo's absence we will be better when we get him back, but the team appears to be locked in now heading into the Misery game.

Am I the only one disappointed that he didn't respond to the question about the Miznoz game with a simple "We don't like them" or something of the sort?

Well, I took one for the team, gladly, and will say I was wrong. In a game where the bench was cleared and played a ton of min., the 2021-22 version of the Fighting Illini basketball program finally played a game without reaching double digits in turnovers....completing that accomplishment in only an hour after my guessing they would not do it. But it soothes my soul and had a big impact on this game being a 58 pt. win rather than a 36 or so win.

Not much else is worthy of any special note other than this is the way a team with NC dreams performs. A lot more passing by everyone with minimal turnovers should bolster confidence and reinforce in every player's mind that they can do it and it works. After watching the Flyin' Illini tape pre-game, these kids should watch that tape every week...and be very impressed in how they passed the ball continually without turnovers...and at lightening speed!

Now, IMHO, Mizzou is not a bit better than the team that the Illini just beat by 58....hope to see another similar beat down in St. Louis!!!

It is so weird watching Curbello just sitting on the bench and there just looks like there’s nothing wrong with him. Normally you know player has “X” injury but in this case it is just weird not really knowing anything (other than a concussion a month ago). Hope he does come back at some point. He would define the X factor that is for sure.

Not to get too into the weeds this early in the post but does BBV have great passing vision at the top of the key or what! I feel like some of the best entry passes to Kofi this season have been from him. Underrated part of his game.

Anyway, great game from the guys! Tons of threes and some good minutes from Podz (that’s a welcome surprise) Blow out the cupcakes and it helps confidence and computer numbers. Let’s go eat some tiger meat this Wednesday 🍽

Go Illini!

I agree with everything except that I think we should expect a tough game in St. Louis. Rivalry games are never easy, no matter how bad one team seems to be recently. In the 2019-20 season a 10-12 UNC almost upset a 19-3 Duke, and we were already a better team than Mizzou in the braggin' rights last year and the year before that... but we lost both games.

You got something with all 3 freshmen...

IMO RJ has the highest ceiling...that kid is long and athletic. Another year of developement, you got a 6'7 - 6'8 wing who can run, shoot and defend. He could be really good.

Goode's poise and leadership is already on display, turning out to be a great defender and 3 point shooter.

And I've always been a Podz supporter. I think he may struggle a bit defensively...but I think he has terrific offensive IQ. He'll need time, but I think he is gonna score some points in the future.

You washed this team like you were supposed to...but future still looks bright.
