Is this some kind of "new age" punctuation; i.e., there is none?
Maybe the thought is that the space there is redundant? Since there's punctuation, you already know it's a new word coming.

As much as I love efficiency, I guess I sometimes love esthetics or clarity more. Give me a double space between sentences, the Oxford comma, and a separate on/off button, with a visual indicator of whether the darn product is on or off.

I guess I digress.

Now, get off my lawn!

The wonest of quad 1 wins. Love it. This team’s a lot of fun as they’re gelling. Keep gelling, gents!

Watching the 2nd half again this morning. With just under 5 minutes left, KJ had a move on the right side to the basket with a Eurostep and a finger roll flip off the glass and in.

The play by play guy had a very succinct call for the play-“Wow”.

Yep, pretty much.

It's becoming increasingly evident that DGL and Jake are players. DGL's loyalty to the Ilini program is really paying off. I'm very happy for him. And Davis is clearly more than just a spot-up shooter. And if I'm not mistaken, both are still just sophs.

To be fair, in two previous BIG games it has been essentially an 8-man rotation with Davis getting only 7 minutes in total. He also saw only 3 minutes in second half last night. I loved seeing how well he did, and if nothing else he showed he can give us a spark and some good minutes when needed. But I don’t expect him to see a huge increase in minutes. Probably won’t be a popular opinion, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we just saw the most minutes and points Jake will have in a game this season. Still, good to know he can give us valuable minutes when called upon.
Not trying to be argumentative because, first, you have a point. And second, your post made me re-think my post. I hadn’t thought about minutes played. But I guess the question is, what criteria make a player be considered to be in the rotation? I still believe Davis to be a rotational player mainly because he is put in the games for a reason (to BU) and not just at the end of the game garbage time. And I think BU considers him part of the rotation. At least in his interviews, it sounds to me that that is what he is saying. Also, I was listening to the Werner/LaTulip post-Oregon game podcast, and LaTulip referred to him as a rotation player (around the 20-minutes left mark). He said Davis is a good player and that last year at Mercer, he was the last starter to be subbed out, which means the Mercer coach trusted him, etc. And Davis has only turned the ball over one time in, according to LaTulip, 80 minutes of playing time. But I think you make a good point. Should the number of minutes count, and how many, or are there other criteria that should be used? Thanks

But it's nice to have like 8 cannons on the team where you can use them somewhat exchangeably to max out the long range destruction.

You’re right, he has been used more regularly of late and is in the rotation. I still don’t think his minutes are going to go up much if at all. Against P5 opponents prior to Oregon game, he’s averaged fewer than 5 mpg. I’d guess that’s what we will continue to see, 2 to 3 minutes a half with a little more in some blowouts or should foul trouble impact the team. We’ll learn more tomorrow. And I feel better about his ability to contribute should he get more minutes.

Andy sure slaughtered up Ben H.'s name...........kind of surprising to me......it really really is.......
It’s amazing to me how many national media members are still butchering Jakucionis, Humrichous, and Ivisic. I get they’re tricky names, but if you’re a professional it shouldn’t take this long. And KJ especially is a projected lotto pick, he’s not some obscure player.

That was the most damn near perfect game we have play this season. We also saw the vision of what the coaching staff have for the players and that shine in this game. When Ben makes his 3s it opens up spacing so clearly for the offense. We also saw Ben move with confidence when his shots fall. He's driving for a dunk and he's backing down defender to play a little booty ball. All of this was the result of his shots falling. Hopefully, this breakout game for Ben becomes the springboard that all of us have been waiting to see. DGL played to his strength by breaking down the defense with his drive and attack to the rim via his freakish athleticism. That's what we need from DGL. He shouldn't settle from beyond the arch. Great to see Jake Davis nailed down a couple of 3s. Tre was everywhere and he might be our glue guy. Tre is a great cutter to the basket and it was great to see that the offense was seeking out mismatches for Tre that allowed for him to do those one on one iso midrange. KJ had 16 pts with 6 assist all in the second half after going scoreless with 2 fouls in the first half. Terrific response from our star freshmen to not let his first half performance get to him. Furthermore, our defense continues to impress.

It's the most fun I've had since Giorgi Bezhanishvili or Michael Hoomanawanui.

Most skilled guard we’ve ever had.

OP must have been a youngin'.
Saw Deron & Dee play. KJ more skilled than both. Deron was a big guard who used his body well, had a good nba career but to do the things KJ does at 6”6 is why he’s a top 5 pick. Dee never stood a chance in the NBA. It’s ok to understand basketball has evolved.
