17-20 from the FT line for Hill. Had 32 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. What a beast.

Great job by Mav as well. He played with those four fouls from the second half through 3OT. That's something he should be commended for...for not fouling out.

That was the worst win ever. Entertaining though.

Finke on the bench was a big factor tonight. OTOH, Mav had a great game, Lewis played passable PG (against Rutgers D), and JCL was fun to watch.

Like I said, first one to 100 wins.....

It may have been ugly, but give credit to the guys. Our short-handed roster left it all on the floor tonight.

Happy for JCL and Mav! Great game by both (offensively).
Happy for the team.
Could not care less about the haters.

Very fun game to watch. JCL/Mav/Hill were all big tonight. And we got contributions from almost everyone. Not much at all from Jordan and Tate, but lots of guys stepped up.

Go Illini

I can't stop laughing to myself. What a ridiculous game in every respect. I'll never forget it. From that kid on Rutgers picking up his own clanked three and flipping it up for a second OT to Malcolm walking down the floor like a zombie to shoot free throws.

Gutted it out

We won despite having no frontline. It wasn't pretty, but I admire the fight in these kids. We don't have 4 or 5 of the players projected in the playing rotation as well as a hobbled nunn.

It was the worst Big Ten game I have ever ever seen. The quality of play somehow managed to be worse than the 39-33 PSU debacle. There is no excuse for us to be that close vs a team that low-caliber.

But man, I was entertained.
