I stand by what I said the last time we brought this up: LA is a developing quarterback. He needs time to get the decision making down but the raw talent is clearly there. You have him for 2 more years then probably 3 years of Petty. That’s the hope.
You sit Luke on the bench for a grad student who has 3 games of eligibility left on the roster in a losing season you have, at best, pissed off your next two QB’s in the succession plan. For nothing. And you’ve already damaged a bridge with Jacas in the process of all that. Some of that is sunk cost, but some of it is definitely avoided by not just letting it ride to see what Paddock can do.
This was fun. Paddock looked good in three plays, he’s also looked absolutely abysmal in a few. Throwing away the long-term plan for some what ifs is not a good plan.
