.I noticed on TV the student section looked like it was thinning out. That would make sense then, but it is inexcusable to not have enough water (if that is the case).
Can’t speak for all of them, but for myself, the difference between last week’s OLine play and this weeks is nothing short of a miracle….
This was NOT expected. By me at least.

Just a great win after last week. Serious redemption
Did everything we could to give that away... until the final 2 minutes. To have a quarterback like that in those moments is just an incredible luxury.

Last week was a national embarrassment. So I really wished we had our line play fixed prior to that.
However, I almost wonder if BB saw these problems and gave Miller the opportunity to fix them himself and only stepped in when it was abundantly clear how bad the problems were. This was evident in game one but last week really made it undeniable.

@IlliniKat91 Or two, Kat! I missed one of my first Homecoming games ever today (since 1974) so I could watch my junior granddaughter race in her hs cross country meet. Thank goodness she did great (9th out if 121) to make it worth it!!!

over the course of 12 games ? not so much
WHAT A GAME!!! I tuned in midway through the 4th quarter, and it looks like that's where the drama was. I'm glad the guys silenced the haters again (we were there all season last year) but an awful lot of things went right in that 4th:
- I was unsettled watching the DL allow USC three 3rd Down conversions. They need to work on that. But they eventually came through.
- The 62-yard pass completion was electrifying...and then the fumble happened. The team managed to play out of that, thankfully.
- The pass interference call on USC during our final drive to get to FG range. That tacked 15 yards on immediately.
- USC burning all three of their timeouts in quick succession gave us more rest time.
Considering the IU blowout, the guys came back and led for 58 minutes and 5 seconds of the game. They never dominated on clock time according to the numbers. But they dug deep down and - as last season - found A Way To Win.
They saved their Top 25 ranking, and are 2 wins from another post-season bowl. I hope Coach fine tunes the DL before we face the Boilermakers.
In the meantime, let the celebrations stretch long into the night!! GO, ILLINI!!!
