WHAT A GAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...................WHAT A MFGAME.......................................ILLINI CLASSIC FOR SURE........

I am exhausted from that game ,,,,,,I feel like a rag doll right now ................I really really do..............................

If I had anything to say about next week then I know who my QB1 is ..........Mr. John MF Paddock.......2 straight games he won games for us........

I. Williams with a monumental game of 9 catches for 200 yards.................
John Paddock with 507 yards passing.........................
632 yards of total offense for the Illini.......................
defense was on their heels most of the day , but came up big at the end in overtime.........
132 yards of penalties with a player being ejected is a big negative , but rejoice in the win and deal with that later..............
P. Bryant with 132 yards receiving.......hope he is not hurt enough to miss any time................
same with Feagin..............we need both of them going into squawk country next week................
R. Love with 140 rushing yards
C. Washington with his 1st career TD..................................
I still thoroughly despise coach punchface.............I really really do.......................

The question has evolved from “should Paddock start” to “why wasn’t he already starting”.

I think I actually have a great thought about that.

A whole lot of time has passed since spring ball and pre-season practice. Paddock has now been watching and absorbing everything with zero game pressure. He has clearly taken giant leaps this season and his response is historical now.

There are many examples of great QB's rising to these types of occasions. You simply ride this to it's logical conclusion.

Disappointed in the soft 4th quarter defense, but the offense was such a relief today.

Paddock played outstanding, and he deserves a lot of kudos (likely earning another start); but the offensive line was simply amazing for most of the game. Paddock had a clean pocket almost the entire game, and Paddock took advantage of it.

Definitely need to clean up those red zone penalties, but the team got the win in the end, and that is all that matters!
