Tanner is the back up STARWaaaayyyyy tooo early to say that. If Patterson doesn't step up then we got Juice Clark and Heckel right there.

Bret discussed it in post game presser. Hamstring. Back for Western Michigan for sureAny word on the Clark injury?
Well… let’s not hope FULL Dudek.Too many sacks given up. But other than that a solid outing. Beatty going full Dudek this year
It was weird because we had no bags so they sent us to a new line created for that off to the right and it was pretty slow too. But you’re right, we basically are used to walking in around 15 minutes ahead game time-pretty much takes less than 5 minutes normally. Not exactly sure how that plays out going forward.I didn't think the metal detectors slowed things down much, we went right on through them. What slowed it down a lot was a couple things, bag checks, ticket scans, and everyone showing up right before game time. The first game with a lot of new people tends be slow since a lot of folks aren't prepared and normally for a Saturday game entrance times are a little more spread out.
He'll still serve as the backup plan if Patterson doesn't work out (at least for Duke). Move scott outside, play heckel in the STAR.Tanner is the back up STAR
Insert obligatory old man rant about electronic tickets always causing delays with scanning and having random problems you don't have with paperI didn't think the metal detectors slowed things down much, we went right on through them. I’m wondering if going more towards the horseshoe is that answer..I didn't think the metal detectors slowed things down much, we went right on through them. Loved Bret's comments at the half. "One of the linemen went the wrong way. Someone's trying to not get out on the field to play"Perfect opening game for the fans and coaches. Covered and took care of business but still plenty to coach up on film and for Bret to light there you know what’s up.
I checked all 4 pages to see if anyone was going to mention this. The 69 yard return is longer than the 67 yard return against Ohio St. It's the longest since some punt return that was actually 70 yards or longer. People are sloppy with their numbers.
Yup...nothing like an I Phone not showing the code, so we have to refresh the screen twice.... Piece a paper ticket.....good to go. Waiting for the obligatory device asking for a tip......Insert obligatory old man rant about electronic tickets always causing delays with scanning and having random problems you don't have with paper
The horseshoe entrance was very long, too. It seemed like the people checking bags and running the metal detectors were not organized or trained well. It was everyone's first day with the new system. Hopefully they'll get some kinks worked out. I've never missed opening kickoff and missed the first 4 minutes of the game last night.I’m wondering if going more towards the horseshoe is that answer..
It also seemed like traffic was heavier and slower than normal, especially on Lincoln Ave. Maybe that’s a Friday issue or maybe our timing was off from past games? They are gonna have to figure out this new addition of metal detectors. Took at least 4 times as long to get in. Whether it’s more scanners, more detectors, more help. Whatever. The attendance is only going to be higher.
I thought the refs were pretty bad last night. How can one be called for a late hit out of bounds if their feet are both in bounds (which they clearly were). I don't tend to complain about bad calls, but that one was atrocious!
If I remember correctly, Burmeister said the officiating crew was from the MAC. Getting used to the speed and physicality of the Big Ten along with the big stadium atmosphere didn't just impact Western Illinois.I thought the refs were pretty bad last night.
Is it possible to add the ticket to a wallet app?Yup...nothing like an I Phone not showing the code, so we have to refresh the screen twice.... Piece a paper ticket.....good to go. Waiting for the obligatory device asking for a tip......
I agree. I said the same thing while watching. Refs are probably rusty, too.If I remember correctly, Burmeister said the officiating crew was from the MAC. Getting used to the speed and physicality of the Big Ten along with the big stadium atmosphere didn't just impact Western Illinois.

Yes. Our parking pass and IFund discount pass for concessions are also in our wallets. Is it possible to add the ticket to a wallet app?
What's too bad is they could have had a "4 horsemen" thing but the 4th guy decided he'd rather be 4th string at Georgia.Over the course of the season, I really think the three-headed "monster" at RB is going to be a major benefit. All three have unique strengths and provide a different look to defenses. Plus, having three RBs will keep everyone fresh and reduce wear over the course of a long season.
The only downside is trying to keep everyone happy with the number of touches, but I would imagine different games will be better for different skill sets.
So were the announcers and the replay commentator.I agree. I said the same thing while watching. Refs are probably rusty, too.
seriously, i threw up in my mouth a little bit when i first read thatWell… let’s not hope FULL Dudek.![]()
