Huge huge contributions from Podz and RJ today!! Wow our freshmen shined this week.
Don't forget the phantom foul on Plummer on the and 1.
While I agree with this it does need to be said that NW is not bad. They are playing everyone tough and win AT MSU.We were awful, Northwestern was even worse, and the refs were even worse.
Big Ten basketball, we love it don't we folks?
Getting Belo back would help most of all. Trent is really being asked to do too much. Primary ball handler, defending best opposing player, and scoring.Brad needs to find a way to rest Trent and go to the bench—there’s talent there.
That said…another roadkill.
Game ball to Podz to come in cold and make big shots and play great D.
I do not agree with your opinion.IMO you sit grandi since he’s disappeared, is an effective TO machine even if it doesn’t show up on the stat sheet, and is a liability on D. RJ, Goode, and Hawk all make mistakes but contribute to the offense to some extent. When grandi and DMW are on the floor together we’re just playing catch at the top of the key. This is exacerbated when Kofi gets breathers
Nice to see Podz & RJ looking so happy. Lots more smiles coming to them this season and beyond. Edit: Goode, too!
Because we can. If NW wears black the only color we can’t wear is blue. Why where Illini wearing white today?
DMFW is not only glue but is clutch I can’t count how many games he won for us.
only player who got signifcant mins on our team with no turnovers today also.DMFW is not only glue but is clutch I can’t count how many games he won for us.
I’m not going to argue that the officiating wasn’t bad, but notice all your examples are where the Illini got screwed. On the other side of the aisle these calls weren’t terrible and NW fans have the same kind of list of plays where officiating hurt them. Every fan feels their team got screwed.i watch a lot of other conference BB games and I am truly amazed at how completely awful B1G refs are ........I mean it's time for the coaches and media to start asking questions of the league office on why they employ such inept officials..............This has been such a hot topic for me and i know , based on other posters posts thyat you see the same thing i see.......
The foul on Young against Trent was a shooting foul....How anyone could see that different just amazes me...........Does anybody recognize any of the 3 refs today ?......I can't, for the life of me , remember any of our games being reffed by those clowns....................I'm surprised Kofi didn't get a T on that phantom foul called on him against the Buie drive ....he NEVER TOUCHED HIM.....no contact at all...................
time to settle down and watch the rest of the Blues hockey game for me........
1st place in the B1G.............................feels good..............it really really does.......................
iT wAs An awaY GamE & We wOn.Because we had more fans in the stands, so it was technically a home game
That doesn’t matter nor does defense. It’s all about offense — offense I say. //sWilliams also collected 9 rebounds
It's called Andre Curbelo. Then Trent can play fresh.Me too but we have got to find a way to give Trent 3 game minutes off Both halves
We MUST have a healthy Curbelo.Me too but we have got to find a way to give Trent 3 game minutes off Both halves
Unless Podz earns enough tick to give Frazier a breather. Curbelo would obviously be preferable. Both would be even better. We MUST have a healthy Curbelo.

This isn’t aimed at you Pruman, but I’m glad I don’t watch games the same way many on here seem to — concentrating mainly on the refs. Always going to be bad calls and fans are always going to believe their team is getting short end of the stick. Were there some bad calls on Illini? Yes. But in the end NW had 5 more fouls called on them and Illini had more FT attempts. I’m sure their fans are saying, “how can that happen, we’re the home team?” You know, the same thing Illini fans say when we’re at home.
