"We're disappointed at your choice Jeremiah" clap clap clapclapclap is much too verbose.

Had to watch the recorded version, but that was fun, even though I saw the score posted earlier. Love the Underwood style of play overall, and I think this gives us a good idea of what he is trying to achieve with this group of guys. Could be interesting if they can keep improving.

That is an insult to Bruce Weber. Bruce is a hellava game coach, just not a great relationship guy /recruiter.

Was thinking the same thing. Bruce should be offended by that comment. If he was able to get the players Missouri has now they would be very difficult to beat.

Some chucklehead over there posted that Underwood is a good coach just a bad fit for Illinois. Mizzou fans can be really stupid, but that's probably true with any fan base. Yeah Underwood is a bad fit who's going to put repeated beat downs on Mizzou and their inept game coach for tears to come.
"Tears to come." Perfect. LoL

Super pumped about the win. But what is really exciting is the way the offense looked in the first half. I saw a lot of on time passes to points on the court where the player was not there yet, timing was perfect. It is the way I envisioned BU offense to look. At the beginning of the year we saw a lot of "wait till the player gets there, then passes it" which is too late. If they can keep getting confidence in the system and each other, they are going to be a tough beat

It was over the top IMO. The kid decided where he wanted to go to college, that's all.

If you like juvenile stuff like that go ahead. I don't. Simple as that.

Well ain't that nice. This isn't golf. It is all (mostly) good natured rivalry stuff. It is nature of territorial spectator sports. Fans are part of the game. That includes cheering, clapping, being voracious and yes, sometimes even (gasp) booing the other team. Booing someone doesn't automatically = classless. Players live for this stuff, both sides of it. No sane person actually wishes Tilmon ill, or for any harm to come to him. But we also aren't going to act like nothing happened, smack him on the fanny and give him an "attaboy" either. You don't think he was fired up and ready to kick some serious *** last night to "show us" Illini fans? If he dropped 20 and 10 against us with 5 blocks don't think for a minute he wouldn't have been Dee Brown popping the heck out of the front of that Mizzou jersey in front of the Illini faithful. He became flaky with his commitment to UofI the very minute Goodwin committed to SLU, then he dipped out. He knew exactly what the repercussions would be.

If he/his family deemed it neccessary to claim a win by 30, then he deserves every boo sent his way.

Mizzou fans saying that their guards don't know how to make entry passes. If that's the case, it should have given Tilmon pause. Should have gone somewhere with great guard play, Jeremiah.

That's not sour grapes. That's genuine confusion.

It's hard to make post entry passes when a defender is in your shorts. That's the point of our defense, since we're smallish inside, get in people face and make passing difficult.

Just wanted to say how happy and proud of the way the Illini played vs. Missouri. I think this is the game where the team realizes the talent and toughness of the team and begins to execute and play like this consistently. Congratulations and Merry Christmas to the coaches and staff of the Fighting Illini.

Well said, Andy. Merry Christmas to you too.

Ive been a huge critic of Finke being soft, but he had a solid game. He ended up with 10 points, 5 rebounds and only two fouls while keeping Tilmon from having the ball the majority of the game. Man bun was holding him back.....

GMAFB. It's SPORTS. Booing is part of it. Should we all throw rainbows and stuffed pink bunnies at a turncoat?

Stay on your high horse by yourself and tsk tsk all the rest of us while we have fun.

Booing is totally good natured and part of sports.

Fans cross the line all the time with personal stuff but generally booing is tame.

First of all Tilmon was actually more a factor than I thought he would be. It took constant effort and attention to keep him and Porter contained.

So with him I truly think we could have 0-2 losses. But also think the lack of buy in to team, BU, Illinois would of led to friction. He always came off as flaky and immature, just read comments by those that know him. So he ultimately found a place that was a better fit and that was with CM. Mark Smith was a Mizzou baseball commit, so I would gladly take that trade.

I noticed his feet really moving. I saw glimpses of the kind of shooting he is capable of and hope that it's a continuing development. I think he thinks too much at times.

I've noticed a few occasions lately where when the clock is running down, Finke has to take a shot... he doesn't think "should I shoot it or pass it" because there's no time. On those occasions he has buried it.

Please tell me someone has made a GIF of Tilmon getting stuffed by the rim on the one attempted dunk..

If not, please....

I love when he was swarmed and AJ swats the ball away. As many buckets he had, the Illini had emotionally charged stops that echoed through the arena. Freakin' awesome.

it was also good because you heard one side react and then the other side react... having fans into this game is really what this game is about.

That was a great game and a great experience for the young Illini. Frazier mentioned he had never been in a game as big as this. If we win vs Grand Canyon and we should, knock on wood, the Illini's non-conference record will be 10-3. That's not that bad all things considered.
