Nod of the cap to DD. So much upside. IMHO, all the speculation of him transferring is pure insanity. He belongs in an Illini uniform and will be a star over the next season...or two...not sure if he has two seasons of eligibility left or not... but hope so.
Just read the game thread, and you would have thought that we were down 4-6 points most of the game. Lead coast to coast - it got close, but i was never really worried - first game I have felt like that in a long time. Let's go on a 9-0 run now to end the season.

That’s the way to end the regular season!! Played some inspired defense. Combine that with our offense and we really have something headed into the post season! Let make a long run in both tournaments boys! Here’s to lots of beer and wings the next month or so, wearing Illini Orange all the way!
I could be wrong, but I just don’t see how wins over Iowa and Nebraska (best case) vault us to a 3 seed.
I expect us to play OSU not Iowa but point taken. That knew coach has the Buckeyes playing well. But all games wins will be tough to get vs hungry teams.
Why did I picture you passing your phone around to our other assistant coaches on the bench with you and then your Dad at the game lol

Apart from about 10 minutes in the first half, we pretty much dominated.
Game ball to Dain Dainja who spurred the lead push when the Hawkeyes cut it to 5.
Very talented team but they don’t have good athleticism and endurance to finish the last 8 minutes strong

For sure. I didn't think our 3pt defense was very good in this one. Minnesota shot 70% on much worse quality. Iowa shoots 33% on mainly wide open ones. Go figure. Feels nice to know opponents can indeed miss shots
I hope that the Illini keep playing the way they did during the first 10 minutes of this game for their remaining nine games.
Had we beaten Purdue, it would have been a slam dunk expectation.
After this performance, it is still a possibility.
He’s still deserving, imo. It shouldn’t be a most improved award.
