That zone gave them a lot of trouble. Some ugly ugly turnovers in the 2nd half. Ayo and Kofi just too good and Damonte making winning plays.

I know a win is a win, and teams rarely drop in the rankings when they win, but we shouldn't be a Top 5 team. There is no excuse for letting both Nebraska and Northwestern take the game down to the wire. The Big 10 is a great conference, but the gimme games shouldn't be this difficult.

Turnovers. Free Throws. Fix those, and we’re golden.

Ayo continues to solidify his legacy, but this team is so immature with a lead. Total letdown again after completely dominating the game early. Must be fixed in the next week or we will not enjoy March.
I really do agree with this, as bad as it sounds I wish we had a little Wisconsin in us. Value the ball, run plays to get the ball to the big (Kofi). I love their ability but they need to stop just turning the ball over and not hitting Kofi every time down the floor.

I have the missed throws, but that is what it is the mental lapses when they have the lead are really just lazy play.

well another win which is good, but sure looked like they did not want to play on the second half.

There are no gimme games in this conference. Every coach on every team says it as loudly and as many times as they can....and yet somehow fans think otherwise.
Every team knows each other too well. If you blow out teams in this conference....it's a great performance. Otherwise...every game is going to be a dog fight.

50% on free throws, and 6-19 on threes until Ayo’s two at the end. Not gonna coast to a win too often in the BIG like that.
But with those stats, we never trailed and had the lead after 2-2.

That was the kitties best, and it wasn’t our best. Still a W.

Yes, it's a W, but there was a lot to not like about this performance.

Would have expected a little more focus after the Neb game. Way too many unforced errors. Passing was abysmal at times.

Kofi and Ayo, thank you once again.

DMFW, once again, clutch at the end.

I disagree. If you win a championship by 1 point, you're a champion. If you win, you maintain your rank. I don't believe rankings should be decided by perception. Body of work got Illinois here even if a lot of the teams problems are worth noting.

We've got some things to clean up but northwestern got every bounce on the rim and Audige and Nance were out of their minds

I would just like to put our feet on the necks of somebody when they're down. And we were at home. These last few games just scare me.

Our KenPom ranking dropped from 5 to 7 with that win.

And NU's luck rating barely moved.... ;)
