Illinois 75, Indiana 71 OT Postgame

Curbelo seems like a wash. He also had some really terrible plays.
That's Curbello though. He plays about 15% faster than his feet or brain are capable of operating at. He's brilliant, he's frightening, he's raw, he's out of control and he just made another amazing layup/assist/turnover. You know Curbello is not? He's not boring. He's going to be great as he matures.

I’m still cursing at the refs. That was unbelievable. What a way for the team to stick together and show mental toughness when it was 8 against 5.

Tough game for Ayo, had a lot of bounces not go his way and there was a lot of contact on his drives that was not called. Kofi got hit a lot too and no foul. Im exhausted!

I-L-L!!!

I love the kid. He's going to be special. He IS special at times, including some tonight.

He's a human highlight but also sometimes a human lowlight. He had plenty of both kinds of plays tonight.

I'm sure he'll grade out as a net positive tonight but I don't think enough to say he won this game.

That drop step to his right shoulder was filthy. If he stays around for another year, he will be unbelievable. Most powerful big man ever at Illinois if he isn't already.
Fantastic Shaq like move. Not an exaggeration.

I think Trent really swung the game today for us. Two threes when we were down 6 in the danger zone

Without bello Trent has to run the offense and no one else is a shooting threat. With Ayo out Dre was critical.

I can hear Turpin and Tate complaining about the terrible referees from here. Some things never change. Those refs were bad. 54 total fouls. Key-riced.

Agree completely, with an honorable mention for Kofi, who also played some fantastic defense (at least in the second half, which is all I was able to watch).
