Does anybody know/remember that site from last year, hosted by an MSU guy and a Michigan guy who likes to call BU "Daddy Brad" (b/c he owns Michigan)? Curious to hear what they have to say.

Sidenote: Harris injury did not look good. Maybe a dislocated knee cap
I haven't read this whole thread yet but I was at the game and Harris was at the table to check back in around maybe 4 minutes. I think it is when Shannon came back in and they pulled him back. I think he could have reentered the game. Now how does his body respond when he sits and rests who knows. But from what I saw I don't think it is any major. Could be completely wrong though too.

"Im not trying to be a teachers pet" before Mayer gave complete credit to underwood for the turnaround.

Yeah this team has turned the corner.
Shortly after the rough stretch the team went through there was a video of BU talking to the team about togetherness. Right at the end of the video you could hear Brad say, “They’re not gonna know what’s coming!”. Boy was he right. Good stuff.

Search Sleepers Media on youtube…
I don’t think they’ve posted on last night’s game yet, but, yes, their take might be interesting. They’re usually pretty complimentary about our program.

Did anyone catch what Brad said just before stepping up to the podium? The press got a good chuckle and he made sure everyone knew it was a joke. Brad has a great sense of humor and quick witted.

Well, except in the Braggin' Rights game...

Though maybe that's not entirely fair because in order to quit, they would have had to start.
Right. That game and the NW game I attribute to the drama on the team at that time. No way they were coming back.

Just watched the highlights and I must say Matthew Mayer was phenomenal!

And so was the great Illini crowd. In the post-game interview Mayer said he's never played before better fans than the Illini home crowd.

See? Texas guys can catch on fast when they get to the Prairie State.

And in words heard on the Illini radio broadcast after another Mayer bomb hit from long range... 'THE TEXAN IS ON FIRE!...'

They actually were in Champaign for the game. They had a few quick takes after the game. They were on Channel 3 News as well.

Mayer is quirkiest Illini guy I can ever remember. He is an absolute goofball but a clear leader of this team and maybe if he doesn’t speak up a few weeks back who knows what happens.

Down in Texas Hill Country and the Greater Austin area there’s a saying... ‘Keep Austin Weird’.

Matthew Mayer is from Austin, Texas.

That just about covers it.

This young man has a marketable persona if he plays his cards right. And stays weird. And keeps hitting from Three Land.

Very happy to have Sencire post about his knee. Goode is getting close, so hopefully by big10 tourney time he is in rhythm and foot is close to 100.

Dain is playing above his #85 ranking coming out of hs.. And Knock on wood he has started to flick his wrist like he wants to throw a curve ball on all his free throw shots and I'll be. it's working so far. On to Minnesota and kick their butts.

Only concern I have. I like having a 7 or 8 man rotation. The players get their Tic and get into Flo of the game and seem to play better overall. Going 9 and 10 doesn't do it!
