Anyone besides me still really buzzed today after this win?
I will be floating on an orange and blue high for a while.

Or just announce that Illinois gave the Champ a historic beat down in their home court without their POY candidate. The BigTen office needs to get a clue and announce that there will be a Co-Chamionship if the Team with the most wins doesn't have the best winning percentage.
Curbelo gets called for a foul about once a game for swiping at a ball on a steal attempt but missing horribly. Then he does that shoulder shrug thing before walking over to the bench. Then he has a conversation with BU where it looks like from Curbelo's body language that he's saying he has no idea why he was called for a foul there, and from BU's body language it looks like BU's responding that he's explained this multiple times to him at this point and it shouldn't be confusing anymore.Who me?
Illinois has 6 losses by a total of 37 points.
Michigan has 2 losses by a total of 41 points.
Oh man you're lucky to have missed the hot takes! Before his near triple double last week he had been in a bit of a scoring slump and had some bad turnover games. People on here were saying he was regressing and that his minutes should be cut. To me, this game puts to bed any of that talk.Who hated on Belo? The most critical thing I've seen is along the lines of "this dude is amazing but he really needs to cut out the dumb freshman turnovers."
I read here that (Sh)Izzo mispronounced Ayo’s name pre-game and heard him mispronounce Kofi’s last name - intentional? I think so - I have no respect for that tool.As much as Howard has been admonished this season for the whole scheduling thing, and perhaps rightly so, I actually appreciated his post-game interview. Not petulant and whinny like Fran or Izzy. Was quick to tip his hat to the illini. Used the correct names. Took accountability. You know, actually behaved as a professional.
Oh, and more importantly, I haven’t enjoyed an Illinois game that much in YEARS. I love this team.
I think with Ayo out, we now clearly see how he changes or controls the dynamic when he comes in. Tune in next year. I predict all BIG BeloOh man you're lucky to have missed the hot takes! I know what you mean, but I think sometimes he literally doesn't touch anything. Or he just hits the ball and it doesn't jar loose. But it's tough to see for sure of course. Even for refs. I believe it's just a call they make based on how aggressive it looks.Curbelo gets called for a foul about once a game for swiping at a ball on a steal attempt but missing horribly. I chuckle every time I see this progression play out.

Correct - somehow he didn’t know how to pronounce Ayo’s name when he was wishing him a speedy recovery from his flagrant attack he ordered - you know, the National player of the year candidate that has been in your conference for 3 years!I read here that (Sh)Izzo mispronounced Ayo’s name pre-game and heard him mispronounce Kofi’s last name - intentional? Is it just me or does he mostly do this right after making a mistake on offense? Guess he feels the need to make up for the TO by taking it back, but then just compounds the issue.I know what you mean, but I think sometimes he literally doesn't touch anything. BU seemingly mispronounced Livers' name in the post-game interview.I read here that (Sh)Izzo mispronounced Ayo’s name pre-game and heard him mispronounce Kofi’s last name - intentional? I think so - I have no respect for that tool.
Sorry; just saw your post:Got a link?
Well, frankly, if I were Isaiah I'd rather my last name were pronounced "Lye-vers" than "Lih-vers."BU seemingly mispronounced Livers' name in the post-game interview.
I thought that was hilariousBU seemingly mispronounced Livers' name in the post-game interview.
And Michigan chose both buttons
Coaches probably don't watch the broadcasts with the sound up listening to the commentators pronounce the kids' names correctly. I just really doubt any coach is going to mispronounce a name just to be a jerkBU seemingly mispronounced Livers' name in the post-game interview.
Absolutely. After a bad TO, Curbelo often does one of two things: (1) the swipe that leads to a foul call; or (2) multiple body bumps which result in a foul call.Is it just me or does he mostly do this right after making a mistake on offense? Guess he feels the need to make up for the TO by taking it back, but then just compounds the issue.
Oh well, that's coachable. Can't teach his innate feel for the game. I'll bet my beach tent that he's on pre-season draft boards next fall...and not down at the bottom.
I'd be blowing up his/her phone with texts ALL day!I am still giddy this afternoon and want to keep talking trash to my scUM fan coworker. But alas, work from home.
Hopefully 2024 but yeahWhat is very apparent to me now is that Curbelo is a quicker, more skilled version of Dre' Feliz. He's showing that bulldog mentality now. Getting to the rim, rebounding his tail off, and just getting after it. Throw 20 lbs. on him and there is no ceiling. I mean, he's rebounding like he's 6'5" 200 already!

well, that would be interesting. I really don't have much of a clue, but how does he compare to Juwan Evans? What is very apparent to me now is that Curbelo is a quicker, more skilled version of Dre' Feliz.
