No more words for Keaton
I believe there's a GIF that fits him perfectly...

And speaking of, I'm sure Brad is going to be sending a video to the B10 office this week on some of those fouls on Keaton. As he should.
One thing I love about Brad is he doesn't linger on petty stuff. Stuff happens and he moves on. It's great. I hate refs but I can't think of the last time he complained about officiating.

Listen, I respect Hoiberg and think he's a heck of a coach.. but it's awfully rich in his postgame that he complained about the officials and us holding them and grabbing them in their cutting actions lol.
The entire game was extremely physical-including how they played Keaton.. Does he really want the game to become a ref show? Listen, we were extremely physical, so were you, refs mostly let it happen. Move along Fred.
Nebraska is borderline dirty and got away with a LOT of contact defensively on the ball. Once the officiating tightened up, it was game over.

Truly incredible the “role” players we have in Jake Davis and Ben Humrichous. Countless effort plays, defensive wins, etc. We don’t get to this point without our stars, but we certainly don’t get there without Ben or Jake
Starters on a huge numbers of other D1 teams but they would rather come off the bench for us (except for Jake while Boz is out) BRAVO GUYS!

Keaton will get a few more minutes rest each game, which I think will be very important if we don’t want him to hit a physical wall in March.
Great point! Some poster made a great point about AS and KB not being in the lineup at the same time. Start KB, have AS relieve him, and see what happens.

No. His role should be what it was before he was injured. Boswell was part of this run as well. I love what Keaton is doing but he is going to need help from all of his teammates. That is only going to make this team better than what it is now and take the team to the next level. This can't all of a sudden become get the ball to Keaton no matter what. The thing about Kylan and Keaton is they both worked so well together and great symmetry.
I think that was still the case before Boz got hurt. The reason for the "we're better offensively" arguments is not that Keaton has the ball in his hands -- he's had the ball ever since that Tennessee game.

It's just that we're likely a better shooting team. Jake in the lineup provides so much spacing... those corner threes are essentially three point layups for him.

This might not belong here, but this win sure opened up some avenues for a slip up, yet still a great shot to win the conference. We're focused on the game @MSU and the game vs MI at home. It's the two on the West Coast that worry me. Those can be extremely tricky. That said, the preconference and early conference games have hardened this team to to be successful in the road. To be able to hang in there from the avalanche of threes Nebraska dropped up, then come out and take control .....they were never flustered. That's huge.

It is those two games that are just sitting out there and nobody is talking about them

Um not really. Keaton was at 15 points a game before Boz's injury. Boz is at 14 ppg. We were much more balanced than we are now. To me I don't see anything that is going to hurt this team when Boz comes back. He's not a high volume scorer but we need his ball handling, defense, passing, scoring to go along with what we already have. The spacing is still going to be there for Jake and others. We had the number 1 offense before Boz got hurt.

I agree with you on the AP Poll being kind of bogus and they certainly aren’t a top 5 team. Somewhrre in the teens sounds about right for them.
They beat IL at home, their 2 losses are to top 5 teams.. and their SOS is stronger than 4 of the 11 teams ahead of them on Kenpom.

I think with Mast at full strength they are a sweet 16 team and depending on the matchup an e8. Both their style of O and D is going to give a lot of teams fits, whether they're ranked 9 or 14.

There is so much attention on Keaton now, having wide open shooters has been awesome. Ben needs to man up and stop shooting 6-3s a game and scoring 0! I am happy with his defense and rebounds. Ben, Andre, Mirk, 0-11 on 3's. For each time we don't get a offensive Board on those is a darn turnover.
When a healthy Boswell comes back, 8 man rotation is fine by me. Andre needs planted on bench with BigZ and Ben. I like that bench. When we go cold it let's team back into game I want foot on gas and running the brakes off of opponents. Great win. We beat Nebraska, fans, and referees trying to get Keaton killed today.
